I normally hate being cold called but Shahida sounded so warm and friendly and so cute that I decided to go along with Dexters instead of just sticking with my previous agent. She and all her team have worked really hard to find the right tenant while I was abroad. They gave me regular updates and my new tenants are moving in shortly. Efficient, proactive and charming, what more could one ask for? And cute!

Totally shocking experience with this agency...
After putting an offer on for the property and having it accepted with confirmation by both the landlord and Kate.
Kate took a holding deposit from us and requested us for additional information on the evening of 05/11, On the same evening we provided the information requested. The next day they requested more information, Within 24 hours we provided all the rest of the information requested such as the tenancy forms and reference details, however was informed by Kate that another offer had been submitted and was higher than what we offered beat or provide a higher offer despite our offer was accepted in the first place.
In otherwords, holding deposits mean nothing with this agency beware of this when making your commitment or offers...
It took them less than 30 secs to take the holding deposit and takes nearly 2 days for them to return it.

No clue why the google reviews are full of five stars.
Shocking experience. I found out Dexter is badly managed from a viewing. The property I viewed was literally next to the Chiswick office, so that I presumed I would be in time for the next viewing with other agency. However, they made me wait for 10minutes since I came to the office, and I had to wait for another 15min before the property's gate. Guess what? The manager was waiting for other staff who had the property's key!!! While the property is next to the office, the man took a roundabout route to the house. (wasted 10min)
I eventually got into the property, however, it was completely different from the pictures on their website. (as tiny as a fancy kennel)
I totally wasted my time and missed the important appointment with other agency after that.
Bad management. Useless staff.

Whist living in the property they were incredibly slow to act on anything, we were without a shower for 10 days in the end we contacted the landlord directly, paid for it to be fixed and the landlord reimbursed because dexters were not... Whist living in the property they were incredibly slow to act on anything, we were without a shower for 10 days in the end we contacted the landlord directly, paid for it to be fixed and the landlord reimbursed because dexters were not sorting the problem. They never did follow up to see if we got it fixed!!! The worst was yet to come when we left the property, it took 1 month to get our deposit back and an utter battle all the way. The agent and landlord couldn't seem to work out who was responsible it took me to contact the Deposit Protection Scheme to get the deposit back and suddenly Dexters could release this deposit!! They deducted a small amount of money which I was happy to sign off mainly due to the fact I was tired of this rubbish. When I asked to see receipts When the work was completed I got told they do not have to issue receipts. So again checked this with DPS and yep.... another lie we have rights to see what they are doing with our money. Just to add we are still waiting to see receipts....

They have been completely useless.
They've been quick to chase us for money and very slow to respond once we've proved we've already paid.
They manage to get every contract wrong, each time someone new joins or leaves - we're currently on revision 4 of the latest one.
They take a long time to process any new tenants, constantly losing paperwork and generally take an attitude of I can't be bothered.

GREAT AGENT, GREAT EXPERIENCE - Michael Varilone and Andrew Shaw were both very lovely people to deal with, gave me honest and weekly feedback with regards to viewings which took place - I would definitely say their fees are justifiable as they were able to let the property within a week of taking it off the market with the first agent I used and coming on solely with them. It was Sacha Monrose who found us the lovely couple, and even once contracts were signed she was still keeping us updated and making sure all was in order for the move date. On the day of the move in we experienced an issue with the front door and a young man Alex kindly enough took his time out on a weekend to come down to Chiswick to help. All in all everyone who works in the Chiswick Office are very nice and I would 100% recommended them to my friends.
