Extremely pleased with the service I received from William H Brown in Wakefield - nothing was too much trouble for them and we are delighted with our new home. For a very large estate agent they have a very feel. Would most definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to sell or buy.

William H Brown Wakefield were in a league of their own when it came to evaluation. Dominique was the only one out of 4 other estate agents that felt as confident as we did that our house could sell for the asking price we had in mind. Other estate agents actually recommended 20-25,000 less than we ended up selling for in only 9 days after listing. Everything from a William H Brown point of view was excellent. Our negotiator Imogen was top class, she went above and beyond when unfortunately communication wasn't optimal between their recommended solicitors (the reason I haven't given 5 star as their recommended conveyancers really let William H Brown down). She is the very reason we seen this through to the very trying end of a 6 month total time to complete and we are so grateful for her. Fantastic estate agents in Wakefield and would recommend (would recommend you do your research on your own conveyancers however)

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by William H Brown. We were approved to move into a house managed by them, only to be blindsided nine days before our scheduled move-in date. Upon calling to confirm the details, we were informed that the landlord had decided to sell the house a few days prior, leaving us scrambling to find alternative accommodations. Not only was this lack of communication unprofessional, but it also caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. It's unacceptable that we had to initiate contact to discover this information rather than being informed proactively. Moving forward, I would caution others to think twice before trusting William H Brown with their housing needs.

I wonder if vendors who get them more business are financially rewarded somehow? Very unethical tactics from a large organisation who are supposed to be a professional outfit. My own agent has been fab and has sold my house efficiently and transparently. I would give these a wide berth.

This week my other half called up to book a viewing for this house that we might buy. She asked us if we could do Saturday 16th at 4pm as he is already showing someone the house but told her we couldn't as I didn't finish work till 4 so she booked it in at 4:30 and sent us a message to confirm the booking. So we got to the house at 4:25pm ran to the door in the rain and knocked on the door and there was no answer so we went back to the car, we waited 30 minuets in all and no one turned up no calls or messages to say they won't be coming. We called up and found out they closed at 4pm so couldn't speak to anyone. Why would you book an appointment for after you close And waste are time. The bad part is that he was showing someone else round the house at 4pm unless he didn't show up for that viewing as well. Really bad service don't really think I wanna see this house now as we've got another one we like. Think that's just mad are decision. Feel sorry for the people who own the house as they might of missed out on a sale.

Attempting to purchase a property through William h Brown has been so difficult. This was one of the main reason for our withdrawal to purchase a property through them. We will not look at property they have for sale in the future.
The service I received was so bad, I chose to write a formal complaint to the branch manager.
I am awaiting a response to this complaint at present.
Some staff made it very difficult to obtain a copy of there complaints procedure, but as I am persistent & I will challenge things that are wrong, I eventually got hold of a copy from the branch manager. (Thank you)
I would suggest that others do the same until they address the issues with;
-Very Poor communication, not answering/returning calls or emails, not turning up for viewings
-Sales agents that have Very big attitude problems
-misinterpreting information given to them (likely through a lack of training)
If these issues are not addressed correctly, it will only take time to show how much of a detrimental impact it has on future people advising them to sell there property.
I certainly wouldn't recommend and I will be advising people not to go to William h brown.
It would be unfair not to mention that they do have a couple of lovely staff members in the Wakefield & Dewsbury branch but there are a serious issues with a couple of them that need to be addressed quickly.

I have only recently discovered this site, or I would have posted my review earlier. After a visit from Dominique (who was very professional) we decided to use this agent. What a mistake! A lack of proactivity, a tendency to blame our solicitor for delays (when we had proof that our solicitor had not caused delays) and disinterested staff members who had little or no telephone skills. Would never use them again and would NOT recommend.

The landLord had been later erring himself and also others into the property while I'm not home THIS IS ILLEGAL William h brown have done absolutely nothing in regards to my complaint. There fine taking the rent but won't do repairs as there supposed to
William H Brown Wakefield *- DO NOT RENT THROUGH THEM its not worth the hassle. The neighbours who were friends with the landlord would look through my window and report back BREACH of privacy . Utterly disgusting service all round

They dealt with issues in a tardy fashion and as a tenant you were constantly having to contact them to get issues resolved. They employ contractors that are less than satisfactory, often cheap and who have no idea what they are doing. All in all terrible.
