Welcome to Temples Nantwich, the national award-winning, independent family owned letting specialist, with associated offices in Chester, Northwich and Crewe.
We commenced as residential lettings, property management and buy to let investment agents in 2001 and are firmly established as the town’s only lettings s
pecialist. We have seventeen members of staff solely dedicated to lettings and management of houses and apartments in Nantwich and surrounding areas.
Our attitude has been to ‘raise the bar’ in terms of the standards we achieve and we have won national awards for excellence in customer service, as voted for by our own landlords. Our extensive experience has resulted in a strong working knowledge of the legislation that underpins property letting and management, and to ensure the protection of our landlords we constantly invest in our systems and processes in response to the ever-changing regulations affecting residential lettings.
We have a clear focus on attracting good tenants, securing optimum rents and ensuring a smooth hassle-free tenancy through proactive marketing of quality properties and thorough in-house referencing. We have also developed our unique ‘Privilege’ product which substantially reduces landlords’ risks from rent arrears and the unlikely need to gain possession due to rent default or other breaches of contract.
Our property management is hands-on and efficient, and our frequency and reporting of property inspections is highly regarded by our landlords. Property repairs and maintenance are managed through the renowned Fixflo program and we are clearly focused on working with quality contractors to complete maintenance and repair issues quickly and cost-effectively; we are also confident and knowledgeable in dealing with any legal issues that arise during tenancy management.
After a decade of serving the residential letting and management requirements of landlords across south Cheshire, we have also responded to our clients’ demands to sell properties too. We have considerable experience in working with investor landlords, who are always looking to grow their portfolios across a broad spectrum of properties and to whom we can circulate investment property details, enhancing our reputation for fair and impartial investment advice. Or should I say it should have been and would have been if not for Steve and the team at Temples.
I cannot sing there praises highly enough, for the following reasons:
1.I contacted them and explained the situation that we were in, I was rather distressed and they listened, they then took me through a list of what I needed for me and my family to be happy and to feel secure in our next home.
2. Having compiled my list they matched it with their properties and showed me my perfect house first time! Other properties were viewed but the one that they recommended was the 'one'.
3. Once our new home had been found Temples even helped me find a removal firm ringing around for availability and arranging quotes and giving reccomendations. We found the best firm ever in Tatlers.
4. No question was to left unanswered, if myself or my husband had a query it was answered promptly and efficiently - some of the things I asked were probably obvious but I was never made to feel silly and I felt understood and that Temples really did care about us and wanted to make sure that everything was spot on.
4. The team themselves were amazing- Steve, Sammi, Verity and Liz thank you so very much, we are in our home now and thanks to you it was so easy and you really did find me and my family the perfect home. After just three days in we feel happy and settled.

Excellent service from Steve and his team at Temples. This was our first buy to let property and from our very first meeting with Steve, we were really impressed with his advice and help. Steve knows his business inside out and we appreciated the fact that he took the time to go through every aspect of letting a property from both a landlord's and tenant's point of view. He was happy to spend the time to find out exactly what we wanted/needed and explained all the options that were available to us. His time and effort ensured that our first letting went smoothly and without any hitches. Our property was well marketed and Steve found us tenants within a few of days of the property being on the market. Temples was not the only letting agent that we spoke to, but it was certainly the best and we definitely made the right decision to use them. We are looking to put a second property on the market very soon and will be making another visit to Temples in due course. Excellent all round experience and I would definitely recommend them.

I've just moved in today and Verity Beresford has been great help throughout the process. Right where to start!!
Temples were brilliant until we had signed the contract and then everything went down hill. Both myself and my partner at the time were excited as it was our first home together however as soon as we moved into the property the communication between temples and ourselves ceased to exist.
We weren't too concerned as we did not have any problems whilst we were in the property other than the boiler (the boiler issue was dealt with via the out of hours call line so temples actually didn't deal with this)
Unfortunately when we had to move out of the property 5 months prior to the contract ending due to personal issues this was when temples in Nantwich really showed how incapable their team were with dealing with the smallest of tasks.
I don't know which was worse, having a new person email us each and every time we got in touch, the lack of communication between every single member of staff at the branch or the sheer lack of urgency they displayed.
We remained in our contract and applied for an early release. The property was vacant for 5 months yet they happily took every penny from us, we are only in our early 20s so trying to support a new flat (30 miles away) plus the rent of a £600pcm house on a single wage was to say the least difficult let alone when they charged us for everything you could imagine;
reference fees (which took them literally 2 minutes to do but 2 weeks to return) re advertising fees (even though they did not advertise).
I personally went into the branch on multiple occasions to try and get things moving as I could not afford to carry on like that, the stress alone made me sick. They did not care, they carried on passing us off onto their colleagues.
Finally my Ex bumped into the MD one day and we thought this would really get things moving again but yet the problems still remained...
they left the property to stand for 5 months until they did their end of tenancy checks.... This is where it became a joke.....
"presence of cobwebs", "Dust on Skirting boards", "Dust in Cupboards", "Dust on light fittings", "Carpets required cleaning due to dust", "Garden Required tidying as overgrown (WE LEFT IN FEBRUARY IT IS NOW LATE JULY!!!)"
33 pages of pathetic photos of dust and leaves because they were not able to get their arses into gear, hey they were happy at the end of the day they were still getting their money so why should they?!?
Just Short of £500 they want from us for the pleasure of them running a duster around and only because they have the inability to actually do their jobs.

All our people are empowered to make decisions on behalf of customers, so can provide timely responses in your best interests." (Temples Website, 2016)
This statement above is what they preach on their website... Everything we have experienced in the short 12 months with them completely contradicts their values. They really do not have the slightest intention of helping their tenants, they have no ability to work as a team even though they are situated in the same building, communication skills are awful and well their decision making ability is laughable.
I strongly recommend you completely avoid Temples in Nantwich, unfortunately It is too late for us and we will be dealing with their tardiness for the foreseeable.
