We were renting a flat and stayed on it for over 5 years.
I found in general this agency and at least in particular some of the personnel at the New King's Road inefficient, unprofessional and unethical.

We were renting a flat and stayed on it for over 5 years. I found in general this agency and at least in particular some of the personnel at the New King's Road inefficient, unprofessional and unethical.
In short, they will always find excuses to push responsibility instead of looking proactively to resolve issues. I believe this is toxic symptomatic issue of their culture, starting from the Head of Tenancy Management Hannan Cronin, who most times we liaised with her, came across as opportunistic, not caring about tenants as customers and highly unreasonable; our first property manager Sam Evans, was also pretty inefficient most of the times and every time this was escalated to his manager, we noticed no accountability and little change overall.
Given the amount of choices to rent from, if I found a property I would be inclined to take, but was rented by this agent, unfortunately I would avoid it and would keep looking - their management needs to be changed and intervene to change their corrosive culture.
We rented the the property managed by D&G for over 5 years. Now that we have been on a new property, managed by a new agency, we can see such a MASSIVE difference on the property management and tenancy treatment.

Not recommendable. D&G will overestimate your property to get your custom, once you have signed the Agreement, communication is very poor. Not recommendable. D&G will overestimate your property to get your custom, once you have signed the Agreement, communication is very poor. They don't answer telephone calls, and reply to emails occasionally. They give you the impression they don't know anything about your property, they have even got the address for my flat wrong. Eventually a rental agreement was signed and D&G got the deposit and the moneys for the rental of my flat, and the following week they say the applicant had withdrawn, and it was no compensation for me whatsoever. I wasted 3 months with them and went to expenses to attend the requests of the applicant that signed the Letting Agreement and then decided not to proceed. D&G did nothing. I never been to a worst Estate Agent in London. Keep away from them.

Hi, I have read your comment and I have had the same experience. They presented 4 fake invoices in order to do a claim in our deposit. I could double checked that the invoices had been counterfeited...

This is the worst Managing agent I have ever dealt with. we were paying over 800 per week for a 2 bed flat,

What agent could do to change your mind?
if the agent had been fair and honest & also repaired the property in a reasonible timeframe and agreed to not increase the rent when the property did not warrent an increase, and also spoke politely and not been constantly argumentative, then we would have been alot happier.

This is the worst Managing agent I have ever dealt with. we were paying over 800 per week for a 2 bed flat, after heavy rain in Jan we had very bad water damage in the property, continuous efforts to get the damage repaired fell on deaf ears - ( it was black and mouldy all over the wall_.. After 7 months the damage was finally repaired a week later we were advised that the rent would be increasing by 3% we refused, and 2 weeks later they gave us notice. Originally when we put an offer on the flat the agent was very helpful, but once you move in and you start dealing with the management team. the service is terrible. I dont even believe they check anything you ask them to check with the landlord. withing 5 minutes the answer to your request is no, or they just say they are checking it then never get back to you.
This is the worst managing agent I have ever dealt with in 10 years of renting in london. they are 100% after getting there managment fee and it is in there interest for you to move out every year.
getting our deposit has been a nightmear, and even senior people in there office do not seem to care.
Never again.

What agent could do to change your mind?
I would have preferred a friendlier more human approach.
I bought a small studio apartment in Chelsea via D and G. On each of the 2 viewings the agent was very casual and uninterested, once leaving us standing in the lobby of the flat which we were viewing to take a phone call which lasted 5 minutes. When she returned there was no apology. Exchange was delayed while we waited for essential documents from the vendor, this in itself was not a problem, but I was very irritated to receive endless telephone calls from the agent blaming me for delays for which there was nothing I could do. I would never use this agent again.
