Everything was going well until the vendor was suddenly let down with a family financing issue . All parties were devastated with this news . However Andrea rang me immediately with the bad news and told me in a professional and sympathetic way. I really appreciated that As soon as the news broke she went back on the hunt and found : 3 properties to look at. . She is working hard to redress the situation . Despite the disappointment she is continuing to do her best

Abbas was incredibly helpful to me as a first-time buyer, giving me a really comprehensive overview of all of my options and ensuring I understood exactly what all the services and products he was showing me covered. Abbas helped me with my search not only in terms of helping to arrange viewings and identify suitable properties, but also in negotiating with vendors on my behalf and offering expert advice on which properties would have scope to potentially lower their price. As a result of Abbas' knowledge and input I was able to look at properties that I might have otherwise dismissed and had an offer accepted on a flat which I would probably not have gone for on my own. I would strongly recommend Abbas' services, particularly for first-time buyers like myself who weren't so familiar with the London property market.

I am a landlord of a 1 bed flat in Werter Road, Putney. I have rented through 4 different companies in the past and I have never had a service worse than the one offered by Barnard Marcus.
I had a fully managed service with them.
In short:
- terrible communication both with me and tenants, always very delayed. Tenants had to contact me directly at some point to complain and ask clarifications.
- they failed in signing a renewal, although the tenants agreed personally with me on the terms. The agency ignored emails from tenants asking for a renewal for more than a month, until tenants decided to leave. Tenants said explicitly the main reason why they decided to leave was to avoid dealing with them in future.
- they ignored my emails regarding deposit, not even forwarding requests to tenants.
Really a terrible service. Just avoid them.

Whilst Barnard Marcus did sell my property, I would advise against using them. Luke Levy is one of the biggest cowboy salesmen I have met. Whilst I was not living in the property, their agents repeatedly left all of the lights on when showing clients round resulting in several hundreds of pounds in extra electricity bills. They used the toilet without flushing the chain, and at one point I returned and found cigarette ash around one of the windows where someone had been smoking. When I complained about all of the lights on, Luke did not even apologise.
Yes, he sold my house and took his fee, but in doing so left a rather bitter taste in my mouth, and I would recommend others steer clear.

I asked to speak to the manager and was told he'd call back. An hour and half later I hadn't heard anything so I called once again and was told he'd call back. Three hours later I still hadn't heard anything so I called once more and was told he wouldn't be calling and that the decision was final.
On the Monday morning I reported the problem again and was told someone would be sent out that day. No one came, no one called, I heard absolutely nothing. On Tuesday, someone finally came to the property without any notice from the agency whatsoever.
I've raised it as a complaint and have been told it'll be 3 weeks before I get a response. The property had several problems before we moved in and we were told these would be fixed before moving in. They weren't. It took them more than a month to fix broken toilets when we moved in, and more than 4 months to fix broken blinds, garden furniture.
Having rented several properties through several different agencies, Barnard Marcus is the worst agency I've ever come across. I will NEVER be using them again and will also be discouraging everyone else to do the same.
