I've never experienced anything like this before. From the manager Linas, who is supposed to lead by example, down to the bottom with Millie from North Finchley branch, it's been absolutely awful to deal with. They're extremely unprofessional, which is disappointing considering one would expect a decent experience from a company like Barnard Marcus. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

Avoid at all cost. Not only they lie to lure you in, but they are not helpful at all. Avoid at all cost. Not only they lie to lure you in, but they are not helpful at all. So why we have in the constract that of there are any issues, we have to contact the agency ? Horrible. We've raised this issue 2 months ago, and just now we receive a respond ? Horrible.

Please don't trust them
I never ever recommend them to family and friends. They are completely unorganised and just supportive till they make contract and care about their benefits. I had tenancy agreement and after 3 months the property has likings for 3 months. I was living in dump for long time and they just ignored although I try to contact them several times.
Now is more than for months and still I couldn't receive my deposit. They finally accuse me to sub let the one bedroom property with out any evidence.

Highly recommend anyone out there looking for a house , please do not approach Barnardmarcus specially North finchely branch, total waste of your time and money.

I am placing a bad review for Barnard Marcus even though I have never used this Estate Agent. They seem to be using a marketing company to make repeated calls to my mobile phone concerning a property which I have just sold through another agent. I do not know how they got my number.
They have called maybe 5 or 6 times in past two months even though the property has been marked as STC. I keep telling the caller to remove my details. They say they will but they do not.
Should I need an Estate Agent I would not use them.

I queried this with Barnard Marcus and was told that it was for 12 months but there may be a tiny possibility the landlady would return after 6 months but this was very unlikely as she had been abroad for 7 years.

So we moved in and had just about settled when we were told the landlady wanted her property back after 5 months (apparently she was pregnant)! This is after buying beds, furniture and all the other bits to go in. I called Barnard Marcus (North Finchley branch) to let them know and that we wanted to find a new property (they had promised to wave the extortionate fees if the tenancy did end within the 6 months if we rented again through them). We were contacted about two properties in 3 months, went to see one. Every day I had to take it upon myself to search their website, then call them, only to be told the property had been rented out weeks earlier (website not up to date). I have since tried to speak/complain to the lettings 'manager' - Marc Gray but he has not responded to any of my emails or telephone calls. They were constantly on the phone when they wanted us to take on the tenancy agreement.
The service we have received from them is awful, we feel we were misled when taking on the agreement, they have not shown any interest in us since, even to the point of ignoring us.
I will not be recommending Barnard Marcus to anybody and will certainly not be using them again.
