Do not waste your time and money! They have lied so much to us it is unreal! Got told we moving on the 9th then it got cancelled! Then moving on the 16th that also got cancelled and now the new date is the 30th! Baring in mind each time we booked for removals with no refunds! Baring in mind it has also been around 10 months dealing with them and still not moved! I am so upset and angry the way I was spoken to when I raised a few concerns. I'm looking for the person at the top of William h brown to contact so I can complain as this is not fair! My child thought she was starting her new school a week ago and she is now very confused at why she has not yet started! Beware ! ! ! ! They lie so much ! ! ! !

Really great service from Paula regarding my property management. We had an urgent issue whereby our drains were overflowing with sewerage in the garden. Really great service from Paula regarding my property management. We had an urgent issue whereby our drains were overflowing with sewerage in the garden. Anglia Water ended up having to be involved too which again Paula was great in managing, sharing the reference number and details so that I was able to track the status of someone coming out. I have just purchased a buy to let property through William H Brown in Downham Market and I have to say I was really happy with the service that I received, both from Diane Overton on the sales side and Ben Penfold on the lettings side.
This is my first buy to let property and Ben has been marvellous in helping me every step of the way from advising me on the implications of being a new landlord to arranging all the necessary legal inspections etc. He even found me tenants before the purchase had completed; so it was a very quick turnaround with income almost immediately.

We have recently had to move and needed to find somewhere quickly. Ali has been brilliant! Convinced us to view a property we weren't sure on and we loved it once we'd viewed. She has been nothing but helpful throughout and always got back to us promptly after any queries we had.
I have had to give 2 stars as Ali aside, we have found the fees seem incredibly high - we have paid just over £500 for referencing after having to provide a guarantor (although not needed from a credit point of view) because of an issue with the referencing agency wanting a self assessment - which after speaking to an accountant - is physically impossible to provide until 2019, however it was then decided by management at WHBrown that the only way around this was to provide a guarantor (costing us more money).
There were also numerous miss communications when it came to the referencing (a credit check and a couple of emails) after being advised certain information wasn't required, to at the last minute be told it would infact be required, which held things up in terms of getting an actual confirmation that we would be moving in to the house - with confirmation finally received less than 2 weeks before our move in date, leading to issues with needing to take time off work last minute. Overall we have found it to be more stressful than we felt needed on top of an already stressful last minute unexpected move, with miss communication between the agent and the referencing company playing a major role.
We personally would probably try to avoid using WHBrown in the future, but if we had to, Ali would be our go to as the issues we came across were out of her control and she has definitely been the one positive in an otherwise unnecessarily stressful move.

I have been disappointing with William H Brown in Downham Market since day 1, when after viewing a potential property I was promised a call back, which never happened. In the end I decided to rent the property with them, however since then I have come up against a consistent stream of broken promises, total lack of communication on the one hand, yet s(because they shared my details) spam communication on the other, unhelpful and unfriendly staff, vast fees and costs throughout, and what seems like general incompetence. I'm not a grumpy or cynical person, but have been completely let down. I would not recommend at all unless you have no other option, or really really want a property of theirs.

Worst estate agent ever. Problems with them when I sold my property problems with them when I rented from them.
