The worst estate agent we have ever dealt with. Had an open house got a price above what we asked for, we then found a property and had to prove that we had everything in place, five months down the line and two weeks from completion we were told that the buyer of our property now had to sell his to buy ours, we were devastated to have to unpack everything and heartbroken that we lost the house we were purchasing!!! Since then we have them call us to say we have viewers for you etc and lowand behold they don't show and it takes us to call Barnard Marcus to ask if viewings still happening and told no. I then wrote a email to the area manager who told me he would like into this and nearly three weeks still waiting for a response! We lost our new home because of this shoddy company DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

Barnard Marcus (on archway road) were our letting agents from Oct 2010 to Oct 2011. We had many problems with the agents and I advise any tenants letting through them to go to somewhere else.
The first person we dealt with whilst moving in was incredibly rude to us (including slamming the phone down on one occasion) and generally inefficient in relation to the contract. We also did not recieve any documentation relating to our deposit protection scheme (in the end i had to ring round the various schemes to find out if it was registered).
They would never ring us back when asked, and did as much as possible not to respond to our demands. In particular when confronted with the fact that there was a hole in the ceiling in one of the rooms letting water in, they simply shrugged it off and did nothing to help us contact our landlord.
We've moved out on the 14th October and still havent recieved the deposit back, despite the landlord agreeing 2 weeks ago to release it, (they claim they have sent the money to the Tenancy Dispute Service- but nothing has turned up).
Please avoid if you can! (also landlords be aware that tenants are not going to want to stay longer a year in a property managed by them)
