The check out process has been an absolute nightmare. I wasn't informed that the checkout will not be happening, due to Covid-19, till I had called to find out why no one had turned up. I was asked to drop the keys in their office, through their letter box. 2 days letter, I receive a call asking why I had not returned the keys yet - so, someone had lost them. My calls were not being returned nor my emails being responded to, for 8 weeks. I only got some traction, when I had complained to the landlord directly. Prospects were trying to charge me for the keys lost from their property. My property manager was very unprofessional - not reading the emails properly, and passing on incorrect information to the landlord for deductions. I had to be on the phone to them for hours at a time, to ensure they responded to my emails. Managed to finally get my deposit back - probably when they realized I wasn't leaving without a fight and would drag them to TDS dispute service.
Absolute nightmare - seems to be the case with most tenants trying to get their deposit back, think it is an additional revenue stream for Prospects.
