I genuinely couldn't stress enough to stay away from this business. They ignored the landlady for 6 weeks over a very simple request under her fully managed lettings contract. I genuinely couldn't stress enough to stay away from this business. They ignored the landlady for 6 weeks over a very simple request under her fully managed lettings contract. The only way we eventually managed to get them to contact us was by 3 visits to their offices with complaints letters (during the lockdowns!). They then went through another series of failures with the day to day management responsibilities being inadequately fulfilled and their own policies ignored.

I genuinely couldn't stress enough to stay away from this business. They ignored the landlady for 6 weeks over a very simple request under her fully managed lettings contract. The only way we eventually managed to get them to contact us was by 3 visits to their offices with complaints letters (during the lockdowns!). They then went through another series of failures with the day to day management responsibilities being inadequately fulfilled and their own policies ignored.
Given the dissatisfaction, the landlady provided 3 months notice to terminate her contract and they keep offering discounts for future services suggesting she cannot terminate her contract unless the tenant is served notice to leave.
Following this shock that a company would allow someone to be put out of their home in order to end a contract that has clearly been broken, the issue was escalated to head of lettings in Reading. After another 3 weeks of zero response despite multiple attempts to contact, the bullying tactics from Prospect continued. Saying that they could not terminate the contract unless the tenant was served notice, and more recently, out of the blue they said they would allow termination if a very significant fee was paid. There isn't anything in the contract to suggest a fee must be paid to terminate the contract and the loss of trust and faith in Prospect to manage a property has gone way beyond any stage of repair.
The stress, worry and ill health as a result continues and this issue is being raised with the local MP to notify them of the types of organisations they have in their constituency.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE BULLIES AND MONEY GRABBERS AT ALL COSTS.

The issue was a last minute scheduling conflict between a tenant's revised moving date and the property's sales completion date. It had caused me immense distress because I am an overseas client and had already confirmed plans for a visit during these dates and made time-sensitive arrangements.
Resolving this while being fair to all parties took considerable skill, tact and diplomacy. Ms Kay went to great lengths to achieve a satisfactory compromise and I am most thankful to her. In particular, out of the blue, I appreciated her courtesy phone calls to me in Thailand, even though the time difference made it well past office hours in England.
I have been a client for almost 10 years and this was the first we spoke. I was relieved and so delighted that she has solved the problem professionally. I feel that feel that the level of personalised care and attention I received should not be allowed to pass without expressing my review comment. Thank you again.

Joanne Kay has been our letting agent with Prospect for three years now and my husband and I have always been delighted by Joanne's professionalism, responsiveness and positive attitude. She has done a fantastic job in providing support in equal measure to us as landlords as well as to our tenants and provided us with often much needed advice on how to be a good landlord. Extreamly poor customer service. Will lie to your face to take your money, for example i was promised that a TV and WiFi would be installed the day after my viewing. 8 weeks later there is a TV but no aerial socket and still no internet. No electricity for first week, no gas or hot water for several weeks. Advertised as bills included but only pay as you go meters. No fire alarms. They skim read all emails and dodge questions. Joanne is rude on the phone. Very slow to respond, extremely high fees considering the lack of attention to detail. Please avoid.

I bought my property through Prospect many years ago and was very impressed with the high level of service then. When I went abroad I naturally sought the services of Prospect for renting. I have been so impressed with the level of service and also the way they keep up-to-date with everything.I deal with Reading Branch and Bracknell branch. I have seen and noticed the great advancement of the way they do business.Prospect is a true testament to customer service. The whole team work together and always willing to help. I call from time to time and whoever I talk to is always willing to help. In particular, my property manager is extremely helpful and also willing to help. I most certainly would recommend Prospect.
