We had an awful awful awful experience the letting assistant manager Betsy Harmer. We are a family of 4 with very young children. We relocated back to the U.K. from Asia and rented a temporary accommodation based on property photos from abroad. 1 week before checking, in my wife wanted to confirm the conditions of the property as she requested to Mrs Harmer, as condition for the tenancy, for the garden to be tidy and the property cleaned. The garden was in horrendous condition. We were concerned that the garden could represent a hazard for the children due to rats or mice. We called and called Betsy and complained about this. She asked us if we were ok to start living in the property until a gardener was found. However, she never solved our problem with the garden. In fact, she asked us to send photos and videos of it, which concerned us as we would have expected for the letting agency to do a check themselves. I found a gardener in 3 hours after checking in and proposed this and gave a quote to Betsy as well as the gardener's availability to do the work. She said this was not authorised and forbid us to proceed. To protect my family, I decided to hire the gardener myself and pay from my own pocket.

Horrendous service from this company and this person. Beyond awful. Do not recommend. In addition, the house was not cleaned, there were numerous marks in the walls. We had to give notice the 1st day. Please do not rent properties with these individuals.

Awful and rude service on check out. Ridiculously overpriced deposit charges on a house that was clean but worn after rental when we moved in and the same when we moved out. We had a professional clean and gardener when we left. Most of the charges were clearly wear and tear - they claimed everything was over used! We are an elderly couple of 2 people in a 4 bedroom house. They said they had an independent clerk verify the charges but some were very clearly bogus - the garden pictures clearly show the garden was in a worse condition when we moved in! We are now heading into dispute to get our deposit back. Do not use this company for rental - they are unscrupulous in charging against your deposit and the agent was aggressively rude on the phone when they phoned up after the check out inventory was completed.

My name is Sarah from Maidenhead and would like to share my house search to rent experience with Prospect. I commend their professionalism and help for securing me a house to rent. Process is so fast and within two days I got the house I wanted. They did not keep me waiting for the response of the Landlord to accept my application unlike other letting agents I had experience. My agent Mr. Matthew Shimmin ensure that I can get the best offer and will be rent a house which is suitable for my preference and budget. They are straight forward in dealing with the clients. Upon visiting their office staff are very welcoming and will offer you refreshments as well. I highly recommend Prospect for their service.

Extremely poor renewal service. Constantly have to chase. Every renewal service but one has been a problem. No communication of change of Account Managers. Would not recommend. Very poor experience. They did not ensure that utility services are setup correctly and I litterally struggling to get it done, but they have not made any effort to fix this and left everything to me with a plain apology.
Thee national database shows that my address is supplied by Company-A and meter is at deenergized state.
However, the physical meter installed at my apartment is tagged to a different address somewhere in London and supplied by Company-B.
My simple question is how come you did not know this earlier, why you did not ensure electricity connection is correctly setup before letting out the property. And on top of that after repeatedly telling your property manager, no action is being taken.

Having had problems with previous tenants and being at a dis-advantage as I'm so far from my rental property I was rather pleased that Tristan took over the marketing and just got the job done. He suggested a couple of price drops to get the place let and kept me updated to the point where I knew what was going on without being inundated, so the service suited me perfectly. Throughout the letting process Tristan was polite, friendly, professional and to the point, can't fault him. Happy to keep using Prospect for my property.
