Disappointing from start to finish. Over valued our property then rushed us into making a decision. The description on Rightmove was extremely vague and we had to pretty much tell them what to write. We had very little interest and felt like Farrell Heyworth were doing little to help. When we did have viewings we had to chase them for feedback every time. When we did speak to them there was a different lie every time, and even told us there had been a viewing while we were on holiday when we knew (thanks to in laws living over the road) that they hadn't turned up. When questioned about that they told us not to listen to interfering neighbours, they're just lying. Eventually we decided to take our property off the market, and after giving written notice and waiting 28 days, we had to contact them at least 6 times to tell them to take it down. After it eventually had been removed from the market (following a final viewing based on ANOTHER lie about a potential buyer being in a position to make an offer, which obviously turned out to be untrue) they then put it back on Rightmove and their website without telling us!
Definitely would not sell with them ever again, and it would have to be a dream house to even want to view with them. Terrible, terrible service.

I booked a viewing of a property to purchase with Farrell Heyworth. At the same time as booking in the viewing, they then booked me in for an appointment with their mortgage advisor, which i wasn't too keen on.
Later in the week, i had to cancel the mortgage advisor appointment due to a work meeting. The very next day i get a call from them. All of a sudden they wanted to see my motgage in principle (which i had with a high street bank), in order to view the property.
So essentially, they were quite happy until i canceled their mortgage advisor appointment. Initially i was told that the mortgage advisor was completly independent of Farell Heyworth, however i was a bit put off as they insisted i watch a video of their terms and conditions prior to the apointment, which i thought was a bit odd.
I also find it odd that they did not ask for my motgage in principle initially when booking the viewing, especially if this mortgage advisor was independant as they claim. In the phone call I received from the agent about the viewing, they called the mortgage advisor - Their - advisor. Strage for an independant one!
The caller then told me that the property i was viewing had been listed before with another agent and had been messed around, as such she wished all viewers to be vetted. I know this to be untrue as i have been keeping a close eye on property in the area for many months and this property has not been listed with them for long, and never appeared elsewhere before.
Since i wasn't too keen on the area where the property was, and was viewing just in case it turned out to be the one, rather than out of certainty, i cancelled the viewing and won't bother to book with them again. The other estate agents in the area are far better to deal with.

My review is 100 percent true based on my own experience with the manager Daniel from the barrow in Furness branch on the telephone Thursday 11 may 2023 in the afternoon. I am from London not local and wanted to view a couple of properties in Barrow as I wanted to buy one, I had told him exactly what properties. Daniel had said we have no viewings available for Saturday I explained I'm not from here and still he would not offer any solution. He then went on to say we need to see proof example cash purchase or mortgage offer to view a property, basically judging me or thinking I might be a time waster. I have never experienced this, even when a client does a mortgage in principal on the phone or face to face they don't need to prove any paperwork until they want to make a full application. Daniel was very rude and he then mentioned look at the online videos of the property, I said I want to see it in person how can you tell a client to go online and look at the visual video when I have called to view the property myself? this is appalling service and off putting I would like to remind Daniel it is the customers right to view, and because many agents are so lazy to show properties like in this instance Farrell and Heyworth, they got used to it during covid and still using the same excuse, exactly what Daniel said to me. If I wanted visual online viewing then why did I call you? He then mentioned some people buy properties without viewing it, I said why are you telling me this? just see the absolute disgrace of manners? I then mentioned if I wanted to buy a car I would like to see it before and a house more so but clearly Daniel has no idea on how to talk his behaviour was the worst I have ever experienced with any agent or organisation in the UK or abroad. I then told him do not assume or judge anyone you have no right, when things go wrong in your life be it at work or outside this is due to your appalling attitude, terrible manners in this case no manners, low/cheap service. I suggest you go and learn how to speak, respect people and learn basic manners. Since my conversation with Daniel I have spoken to clients and people who live in Barrow saying Farrell Heyworth service is so poor and the bad experiences they have had themselves, the agent have lied to customers and the online reviews have been fake to give high ratings from people they know, fake ratings so the company is lying to themselves and the customers. So how could I trust you? They lost a true client but this was Gods blessings and saved me not to buy from them. Truth always prevails.

Worst estate agent I have ever used, and that is saying something.

They try to sell your house for less than it's worth so that they can get their commission which is a fortune. If I had listened to their advice I would have 10% less for my house!
I had 2 buyers pull out of a sale due to them not vetting properly. Took 6 months for this to happen costing me £1000s.
On me asking them to stop selling my house after 6 months they charged me £210 for a deferred marketing fee. I would have gladly paid £1000 not to have to deal with this company any longer.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

NOTICE TO ALL PEOPLE IN THE BARROW IN FURNESS AREA. DO NOT RENT 41 SILLOTH CRESCENT, WALNEY. The landlord AND Farrell and Heyworth will cause you nothing but problems! They allowed us to redecorate the property (out of our own pocket) then gave us notice to leave the property as the landlord was apparently selling the house in the new year. The house is now back up for rent. We received this notice just before Christmas and we are expecting our first child. All parties was well aware of this. We asked if we could stay in the property just for a few weeks whilst we find somewhere else to go. And the landlord denied us this 'as he was in a hurry to sell the property'. Which obviously was untrue. The whole reason the landlord and agency have done this is because we was constantly asking for the work that needed doing on the property to be carried out. We was paying £625 in rent a month! Yet we was expected to live in an INSECURE property with windows that could be opened from the outside as well as windows that wouldn't close, which is actually a breach in contract. So as you can imagine the house was freezing and also cost us a fortune in heating bills. The front door step was unstable and obviously that is a major safety concern for a pregnant woman. The oven didn't work properly, the doors front and back was insecure and needed to be replaced (I know this as one of their handy men told me this). There was also many more problems. After we vacated the property there was an inspection report as there always is. They have printed LIES on this. Saying there is a wardrobe missing as well as other things. We had confirmation from the land lord via Farrell and Heyworth that we could dispose of it as it was UNSAFE and falling apart. Due to these lies we won't get our deposit back which was a lot of money especially when we need it for our baby. I am taking LEGAL ACTION as this all qualifies as revenge/ retaliatory eviction. This house has been up for rent for about 17 months in that time the house has had 4 different sets of tenants which really says it all!!!! DO NOT USE FARRELL AND HEYWORTH!!!

I rented 4 properties through Farrell Heyworth and they are a nightmare. Leaving tenants without cookers for months, heating for days etc. They had no out of hours number and only when I put together everything did they finally give me back my properties without having to kick the tenants... I completely agree, they are the worst kind of lazy estate agents because the only time they give a crap about anything is when the rent is due or as you so rightly said when you ask to be released...
