Worse agency ever, especially the property management team.
We had agreement with repairs to get fixed before we moved in the property while we are viewing the flat and they promised YES however, once we move in , there wasn’t anything done ( shower not working, sink was leaking, moth and mince everywhere). And then we reported to the property management ( no one reply emails )
Always saying they would deal with it tomorrow over the phone( there was always tomorrow)
It took 6 months to repair the shower, whilst I was paying £2058 for the rent without shower.
Property manager- Kim Mellor, a very rude and educated lady who managed my property internationally not return my tenancy deposit after one month tenancy agreement ended. She would shout on you after you sent her email to request deposit back. Her excuses is they didn't receive Check-out report, and she said she will deduct our deposit as she pleases over the phone. "
Overall, experience with Dexters has been biggest nightmare in my life so far.
It was beyond my imagination of how bad the agency and landlord is

The worst estate agents with the most incompetent people you could ever encounter.
Trust the allAgents reviews (2.7/5) not Dexter's (4.9/5).
We wanted to rent in West London, and went to a number of different estate agents in the area. Although we had looked at the bad reviews before, we put them down to âone offâ experiences and thought ours would be different due to the good reviews on the actual Dexter's website. We were wrong. We have dealt with aggressive and unpleasant estate agents before, but at this agency they seemed to surpass their own stereotype.
Ever since we signed the contract their approach to our tenancy completely changed. The members of the team became increasingly aggressive, and entirely lazy in their emails and communication.
Our flat was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Many of the fixtures did not work, and some of the doors were hanging off their hinges. There was mould all over the ceiling of bathroom number 1 and mouldy floor boards in bathroom number 2. It took over 6 months for any work to be done on the flat, despite their claims everything would be fixed before our tenancy began. Our tenancy has now ended and the floorboards have still not been replaced...Our many calls and emails were often ignored by the team, and when they were answered there was very little consideration or care given in their approach. Often emails included misspelt words or extremely curt language.
Towards the end of our tenancy, we were asked to move out of the flat 3 weeks early, which we agreed to on the terms of our overpaid rent being returned to us on the day of moving out. This money still hasn't been returned (one week later), and our inventory report hasn't been prepared despite our deposit legally being due back to us in 3 days time.
I know estate agents have a bad reputation, but this one surely tops them all. I would not recommend anyone to use their services and I hope this review may be taken seriously by their management, as I am extremely disappointed with every individual I have dealt with thus far at Dexter's West Kensington.

Every time we had to deal with Dexters there was always a problem.
When we were first moving in a inventory check had been booked by one of the estate agents. When we emailed to confirm the date and time the day before, it turns out the inventory checking date had been changed and we were not told about this until we asked. Meaning that we had to change our schedules again for this inventory check as we had not yet moved into London so our journey to London was wasted.
Whilst talking to one of the estate agents, they also mentioned that I had mutual friends with a relative of theirs on facebook which makes me think that they had searched my name on facebook which I think is very unprofessional.
When we were given our tenancy agreement, both of our names were spelt wrong and so we emailed them telling them to correct it. 3 weeks later it still had not been changed so we had to email again. Then 1 year later when we went to renew the contract, our names were still spelt wrong!
And on top of that, they charged us a ridiculous amount for agent fees when renewing our contract when all we did was sign electronically to renew the contract.

DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
If you are happy to wait 7 months for Dexters to draw up your lease and request documents from you which you have already forwarded over 3 times, then Dexters West Hampstead is the agency for you! After 7 months of nonsense and chasing them, the lease is still incomplete- and surprise surprise, the RENT HAS SINCE GONE UP. We now have the landlord contacting us asking for all the details we have already submitted to Dexters - why are we dealing with an estate agent if we also have to deal with the Landlord? Don't expect phone calls returned, and whatever you do, don't go into the office - you will be ignored for 40 mins upon entry.

Worst renting experience ever and the worst end of tenancy. They provided us with a check out agency that did a sloppy job and then when we complained that the checkout report is ridiculous they just said it wasn't their problem and we have to deal with the people they hired! We had to go to tds to resolve the dispute as Dexters expected us to pay the random amount of money they came up based on a fake check out report and without providing us any proves how they calculated the amount and the agent was so sloppy that she provided the wrong tenancy agreement document, fabricated some last minute emails. During the whole tenancy and especially in the end it was very obvious that the only concern of Dexters and their agents is how to extort you into getting more money out of your pocket (both the tenants and the landlords) without actually providing any service. Better save some money and nerves and find another agent and check very, very carefully all the little details in the agreements with them

Very poor customer service and lack of professional behaviour.
Last Sat I was assured they would get the keys to see the flat by 12:30 on Monday, hence I scheduled an appointment for 3pm, that I juggled to squeeze in as I was working late shifts this week.
I arrive at their office at 3pm as agreed, and when I do Chris just tells me the guy who was supposed to collect the keys at 12:30 is stuck on a train and they don't know how long it'll take.
After requesting what the ETA would be, I told him I'd go for a walk and wait 15-20 min. 10 min later he rings and says the guy with the keys is on a bus and will take him 30-45 min to get to the office.
Obviously I decided to leave, as these people don't seem to take any consideration neither take into account that other people also have to fulfill work commitments.
Chris said he'd give me a call on the following morning to try rearrange a viewing for the flat. That call has never taken place.
I feel like I cannot trust this estate agent:
1) first of all due to their unprofessional behaviour as nobody advised me the keys were not ready when they should have been (which made me lose my afternoon).
2) I have certainly lost an opportunity for placing an order for a flat that I was particularly interested in.
3) I haven't received any further calls or follow-ups trying to amend the situation caused by them.
4) I spoke with a friend of mine, and he also mentioned he was having issues with the very same agent last year, as was hiding information regarding additional costs until the very last moment.

Fees are often unfair. Don't buy the lie that a landlord can require you to pay letting fees in advance for the rest of the duration of the contract if you break it.

She gave us misleading information, such as the landlord was not meant to call pest control and probably had bad habits of letting rubbish around the place. Unfortunately for her Environmental Health didn't agree. She also told us we need to pay some unfair terms in the contract despite the fact they could be replaced, again giving false information.
Either she is very ignorant, and as such she should not be involved in some delicate matters, or she did it on purpose, and we believe this is against the law.
Whatever the truth, she helped creating a big mess. Please remove her now.

Paid a huge rent for a property which does not offer any comfort (extremely noisy due to the hotel apartment upstairs and lacking any insulation).

As a tenant, we've been treating poorly, We left our place more than 3 weeks ago and it's been 3 weeks that we're waiting to here from the landlord regarding the check out report! We don't have any feedback, any update. We are ok to pay any damages in the property but at least we need to know how... Read Full Review

REALLY BAD - they charged us 50pound fee for a change of date in the leaving date (because we were moving 2 days earlier - to be kind to the new tenant and we were the one charged...)
