Considering how much money they took from us each month, our service was laughable. After six months, they never responded to any of our requests to fix the property. During the pandemic, we asked for some financial forbearance, but they were not interested in talking. At this time the price of rental properties was also falling, so when they refused to negotiate we simply ended our lease, moved out, and found a better property for £750 a month less. Dexters are incompetent liars.

The check in staff used were incompetent and failed to notice a prepaid electricity meter nor inform us where the token is which resulted in us being without power. The agents at Dexters are rude, ignore you and when you try to talk to them will talk over and ignore anything agreed in your conversation. As i had so little trust in them i only spoke to them by email. At the end of the tenancy they ignored us for a month holding onto our money despite the flat being left in an immaculate condition.

Any fees are bad when the service is so terrible. I appreciate they work for the landlord and not us as tenants but at the same time they have a duty to manage the property effectively.

We moved into a flat that is let and managed by Dexters and there were problems from start to finish. The fridge didn't work when we moved in, the landlord / previous tenants had left loads of junk that we were expected to store and the place hadn't been cleaned. We weren't aware of the fridge issues until after we'd done a big shop and ended up throwing away lots of food as a result. It then took them nearly 2 weeks to replace the fridge. In the month's leading up to us moving out the majority of viewing requests from their lettings team were at very short notice and on occasion they turned up completely unannounced. We finally moved out nearly 4 weeks ago and there is no sign of the deposit being returned.

We have been really impressed by their focus on our needs. We felt that they had developed an emotional connection with our property - just like we had. They gave good advice, fought our case and we felt that they really represented our interests. They were respectful of our time and were always available for us when we needed them.
I would recommend them to others.

Dexters is the current managing agent on the property where I live now.
To be honest, there has been more than a few occasions where they could have done a better job, but in regard as to Emily - she has always been great with me. I feel like she actually cares and that she acts in my best interest. She does make an effort to be helpful and she is always very accommodating. Keep up the good work! I would recommend her.

I would not wish this estate agent on my worst enemy. They get paid far far too much for their poor services by the unfortunate tenants who are manipulated at every turn. Cruel and unworthy. Past two years have been miserable due to their ignorance.
