Since 1945 Storrington has expanded greatly with a variety of housing projects enlarging the village. It is still possible to be in open countryside in a few minutes from the town centre when walking towards the downs or one of the commons.
Storrington has most of the facilities of a small town. The main supermarket is Waitrose, and additionally there are a wide variety of shops including: delicatessens, charity shops, butchers, clothes shops, three pubs (The Moon, The Anchor Inn and The White Horse Inn), coffee shops, hardware stores, estate agencies, four banks, a variety of restaurants, a museum and a Post Office.
The nearest large town is Worthing, approximately 10 mi (16 km) to the south, followed by Horsham, approximately 13 mi (21 km) to the north. Mainline train services can be picked up from Pulborough or Amberley. Trains to London take an hour and a quarter and terminate at Victoria. Trains to Gatwick Airport take around 25 minutes.

We tried a well known online Estate Agent, and after six months had a couple of extremely low offers and very few viewings. So we decided to use a local Agent and chose King and Chasemore. Robert put together an excellent package for us and we were impressed by the professional and friendly approach of the whole team. We immediately had a lot more viewings, and although it still took a bit longer to sell they kept up the momentum until a buyer was found. We would have given 5 stars, but the only thing which let this whole experience down was the recommended conveyancing solicitors who are part of the Countrywide group. I would most definitely not recommend using Countrywide Conveyancing Services

We were involved with King and Chasemore indirectly as the property we were buying was being marketed by them. We were very happy with the team there and they were always very polite and nothing was too much. They were very professional and always answered our questions promptly. When our offer was accepted, the team did everything to manage the chain and get the sale through to completion in a reasonable time-frame. Although not working directly on our behalf, we did feel in good hands.

The only issue I had was with using the Solicitors they suggested, this was a bit of a nightmare with rude clerks -however every time I rang Bruno or his team they soon got on and dealt with the issues - the flat has now sold and I am grateful for their help and support throughout the sale - I would use King and Chasemore again but not their solicitors.

We were very impressed with Rebecca, Bruno and Marla, they are all friendly and proffessional and a credit to King & Chasemore. We have had Bruno out to value our home but aren't selling right now. My mother needed to sell her properrty on the outskirts of London and we were actively looking for a bungalow for our mother in Ashington. Rebecca was tireless in her persistance when trying to find something for us. We did find one for my mother in the end but it was through another agent however we are really dissappointed it wasn't through King & Chasemore. Everytime we visited the office we were offered a drink but above all we trust them and we are always made to feel welcome. Mr & Mrs Holloway.

Although I knew that Keys Cottage had been on the market for some months ,when King and Chasemore took over the agency, the reduced ,more realistic, asking price, the more interesting, colourful and exciting,presentation of the brochure caught my attention.
I phoned the branch office and was immediately impressed by the very professional, confident way Bruno dealt with my enquiry. He quickly arranged a visit to the property.
On Sunday Rebecca accompanied my son and I on our viewing of Keys Cottage. It was obvious she had visited the property and we were impressed with her enthusiasm and knowledge She also assessed my needs and quickly pointed the suitability for an elderly person- flat site and garden, easy access, proximity to the village hall
Bruno then accompanied me and other members of my family on two further viewings. He showsed great sensitivity to the situation and it was obvious that he had a good rapport with vendors and with us. Although it has not been an easy move, due to difficulties at the end of the chain, Bruno has always kept me well informed. He has been a great help and support .
I am completely satisfied with the service I have received from King and Chasemore.

Bruno and his team at the Storrington office provided fantastic service during the sale of my property. Out of the three estate agents I had interviewed, I chose King & Chasemore because Bruno made a real effort to get to know both me and the property his team were going to sell. He helped to progress the sale when things got stuck during conveyancing by talking to both solicitors and reporting back to me and the buyer. King & Chasemore's wide network of offices was also a selling point and their out-of-hours contact centre meant our buyer could call on a Sunday to book a viewing! I highly recommend Bruno and his team at the Storrington office. They are friendly, helpful and a credit to King & Chasemore.

We were very pleased with the service we received from K&C. At times, the process moved quite slowly but it was never K&C that caused this, in fact Bruno and Rebecca were often a great source of information and advice in such situations, I sometimes found that Bruno was having to explain things that really our solicitor should have! They liaised well with our own solicitor and others in the chain and pushed for exchange and completion dates at times when others seemed a little inactive. We were coping with some very upsetting family difficulties through the process and Bruno and Rebecca were very sympathetic and understanding and seemed to go the extra mile to bring the sale to a conclusion as swiftly as possible. I did feel that in retrospect, the initial valuation was a little high and unrealistic but this does not detract from the overall very good service received.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent's fees were higher than the other two agents I saw, but the agent was happy to negotiate a compromise.

I had to put my father's house on the market earlier this year and three agents came to view it. Bruno Sandilands at King & Chasemore was the only one of the three who called me back afterwards to discuss the viewing and possible options. I was very impressed by Bruno's commitment, because I wanted an agent who would be committed to selling the house. From the beginning Bruno and his team of Alex and Marla were very enthusiastic about the house and its potential, and they conveyed that enthusiasm to potential buyers. On one day I had three separate viewings. The result is that contracts have been exchanged less than three months after the house first went on the market.

During his visit he told me that he had one or two people that would definitely be interested in my house
cutting a long conversation short, he went on to say that if I paid £200 up front it would speed up the process, better and wider advertising. I stupidly signed, but did say not to withdraw any money until I had checked my bank (i would let him know the next day) however, when I checked by bank statement the money had been withdrawn. I was furious, rang the office, also called in nothing much was said, complained to the head office. They said it would be held in abeyance until such time I wanted to market the property again. To my knowledge the agent in question has left, I have had them round recently where they valued my house low also said that from a rental point of view an agent in lettings from Horsham knew the house and once again valued lower than the rental two years ago. We have made a lot of changes extended etc., how on earth can they value a rental without visiting.
King and Chasemore are shocking I would never use them again
