They were the worse letting agency that I have worked with, they don't report things from tenant to landlord and vice versa, they are just on the landlord side and not as a in between person to mediate, they don't do their work properly, are very unprofessional, avoid at all costs to work with this people, there are loads of letting agents to work with (Reviewed) One day after I posted this review, Fox & Sons decided to leave a review on google as I'm a tradesman and guess what, they rated me 1 star without having any contact with me in my area, just so you can see how unscrupulous and vengeful this people are, avoid! avoid! avoid! still haven't received my deposit after almost 2 months I left the house I rented through them

DON’T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR
Would NOT recommend fox and sons, especially this branch- avoid these este agents at all costs, she not only failed to do our contract correctly, providing us with the wrong energy provider leaving us with a 500 pound bill, tried phoning a month and was never able to get through and never received a phone back, the initial deposit was calculated wrong and demanded the rest from us with no apology, they booked the PAT test wrong 2 times and then phoned my dad who’s just the guarantor to tell him that I had to be in on the third as it desperately needed to be done ( I was at the house waiting within the 4 hour window twice) - made me feel like a child. I’m a 20 year woman paying my own bills. Still in an ongoing battle with them, they are all nothing but rude and ignore emails and phone calls ages - AVIOD AT ALL COSTS

Good communication via email and generally available on the phone. Molly was very friendly and accommodating. Jack was efficient but there were communication issues in the phone where I was spoken over and not listened to which was stressful. I arranged to see the property to measure it but the tenant was still there so I was unable to attend the property. I was also unable to get a signed copy of my contract until the day of move in which has never been an issue before and caused insecurity. Apart from the issues mentioned I and a good experience and am aware of the chaos that is the property world in Brighton in the Summer, so keep that in mind. Thanks for your help!

Fox & Sons were great at helping me sell my property. Not being in Brighton, I needed a firm that could manage everything for me which they did. They were even willing to check on the property for me as it was vacant. They were very proactive at chasing solicitors and both the vendor and myself which led to an extremely fast exchange and completion. They were very responsive and e-mails were usually responded to the same day. I would not hesitate to use them again if I needed to sell another property.

I rented with Fox & Sons earlier this year. It was really bad. On September 6th, five days AFTER our move in date we were informed we would no longer be able to move into the property as there had been more building work done than any of us had been informed about and the property was uninhabitable. Fox and Sons were extremely uncommunicative during the period of uncertainty, where we were calling every day asking for updates on the house we were supposed to already be living in. I personally was essentially made homeless and spent 2 weeks sleeping on a different sofa until we managed to find a different property at the last minute, with no help from Fox and Sons. They were unsympathetic and offered no help or compensation, even when I (a 19 year old female student) told them I didn't know where I was going to sleep that night due to their actions and requested they at least paid for a hostel bed until we found alternative accommodation.

Fox and Sons have since been unresponsive to our complaints and when a number of us peacefully protested outside the Kemptown branch, they have called the police in an attempt to intimidate us.
We are demanding Fox and Sons pay us compensation for the cancelled accommodation. I would not recommend this agency until they do.

I had agreed and paid heavy fees to rent a property in Brighton and was told the day before I was supposed to move in that it was no longer available and unfit for human habitation. I was left completely broke after having to find a new flat at late notice and staying in a hotel whilst I found it. Fox and sons never apologised for this, I phoned them several times and they kept hanging up on me. I even visited the kemptown branch to try and get an apology and was treated to derisory comments and shrugs whilst the staff just sat on their desks eating crisps. One even spilt beetroot hummus onto my shoe and pretended not to notice. I'll never rent through them again and everyone who works at my office has only bad things to say about this agency

We organised to let a house in February , a student house to be moved into in September . We paid the agency fees , taking the house of the market and allowing us to complete the paperwork. Between February and September fox and sons neglected to check on the building works occurring at the property , on September the 6th , 5 days after we were supposed to move in , they informed us the house was uninhabitable and off the market . They offered no compensation and blame the landlord and building contractors . If they had any sense they could have drove 10 mins up the road to see the property was uninhabitable . We were forced to move into a house which will cost us collectively around £2000 more a year than planned . Fox and sons must be held accountable for neglecting their duties as estate agents .

Fox's team, led by Edward Middle provided an outstanding service in the sale of our property. Their knowledge of the market, web presentation and performance when showing clients around made a material difference in our sale and we had complete confidence in them at all times. Nobody saw our flat who was not a genuine potential purchaser and we felt that the agents showed folks around in a way which excited them about the purchase without the edge of unhelpful 'push' which puts so many purchasers off. We would recommend Fox's without hesitation.
