A fictional cleaning bill on vacating the flat entitles this agency to the lowest rating. I took the bill to the tenancy deposit scheme, took 3 months to get my deposit returned. AVOID Leaders.

May 4, 2017Leaders are an agent for the landlord and act on his instruction. The check out report completed in early December reported that cleaning was required compared to the inventory completed prior to the start of your tenancy. Your landlord asked us to instruct a cleaning company and a copy of the invoice was forwarded onto you, once received from the contractor. The contractor's company name and contact details are noted on the invoice provided, therefore you could have contacted them to verify if you wished. You informed us that you did not agree to the claim for the cleaning, the landlord was then informed of this and confirmed that he still wished to uphold the claim. We therefore advised that you should raised a dispute with The Dispute Service (TDS). This dispute was raised on 23rd December. The amount disputed was the whole deposit amount and we therefore are required to send this amount to the TDS. The TDS normally take approximately 6 weeks to adjudicate a dispute case and their decision was received early February. Once a dispute has been submitted to the TDS, the dispute is out of our control.

As a landlady, I was blown away by the help that I received from Gary Copleston and Kerrie Knight. My property had to be let at rather short notice, and there were various complications and unforseen events that had to be dealt with. To say that they went the extra mile in obtaining an excellent quality of tenant and sorting out all the issues smoothly (whilst always keeping me abreast of events), would be putting it mildly: they really were super.

As a landlord, I can't praise highly enough the contributions made by staff at Leaders North Laine office, most notably Gary Copplestone and Kerrie Knight. Both offered essential and realistic advice prior to letting and clearly had a complete professional understanding of the different issues involved. I was particularly impressed by the speed and efficiency with which they dealt with my numerous and varied questions. They were quick to market the property and were able to secure a suitable tenant for me without any undue delay. Finally, I was reassured throughout the process by being constantly updated on their progress.

Instructed by him on Monday with the tenants moving in on Saturday. They were very helpful in providing useful advice in preparing the property for letting as well as responsive to all issues that arose.

I have found Leaders to be professional and courteous at all times and have no issue with recommending the New Road office as agents for landlords looking to let their properties.

I was very impressed from the first telephone call which was answered by Rachel. I found all of the staff at Leaders friendly, helpful and responsive.
The landlady who was responsible for property maintenance was immature and did a very unprofessional job giving rise to some unpleasant issues. Leaders helped me somewhat in dealing with the landlady and these issues, but I would of preferred a realistic report of her mentality up-front.
I feel let down by being told that the landlady was "really nice". In fact she was a difficult person to deal with and a somewhat troubled character. If it were not for this misleading advice, I would rate Leaders as good.
