I wish i could give zero star, cursed the day i met them, i pay £1400 a month ruin my health, moved in every body happy, smooth process big house big garden. i had a 1 month old baby. over 6 weeks in black mould was coming out of the wallpapers, i quickly reported to leaders, who in turn gave me a sermon about how to manage the dumps with windows open, ... while they knew the problem, i tried everything, i only knew how much water i was sleeping in is when i bought 5L a dehumidifier and has to be emptied twice a night, then i said that was extreme, then my son was already affected with his breathing, i had to move room and sleep in the siting room, all these beside the repairs i have been asking them to do with no success, every 6months the inspectors comes i report the something nothing was done, the water would just stop while you are in the shower, they brought a contractor who used the hoover to bring it back, what an insult, it was like a movie, tiles falling off in the house, you name it, it was there, and then they take the rent up, we said that was the high of it we are living the property, when living the property they put the things that we asked them to repair while we are in the property on the charges, even things that we met in the property. it was very upsetting after being treated line animal in the property they even think they need to be compensated on top it, they have no shame or guilt this people. we got very depressed by the fact that human being can behave in that manner. there are hidden charges which we were paying without knowing thinking it is for repair, it is just free for leaders to eat, which are good summarithan? Very greedy the issue have to end up in court.

Toni and Lisa are just wonderful.
I have been with Leaders, Bromley for 6 years, until I moved recently.
Prior to this I rented from other estate agents. I have never felt as safe and respected as a tenant, as I did with Toni Hartwell dealing with any request professionally, effectively and quickly from the office and Lisa Payne being a friendly, reassuring face doing the bi-annual flat checks. I would like to thank the staff at the Bromley leaders office for their professional behavior in all my interaction with them since the start to the end of my tenancy. I especially wish to recognize Toni Hartwell who was my property manager for the rental I had with Leaders. She was very helpfull during the entire length of my tenancy and always responded promptly to queries that I had. During the Covid 19 crises Leaders had put in place several strategies for how tenants and staff at Leaders should be using when engaging with each other which has been well adhered to by all the staff at Bromley leaders including the maintenance staff that have needed to attend the rental during my stay.

I have had nothing but aggro from the first day we moved in to the property.briefly incomplete inventory,staff always unavailable or in meeting when you want them, always to be told they will ring back which they don't, always chasing them, the contractors they use are all cowboys & when you have an issue leaders get them to ring direct - they refer to the customer as "mate",i was sent a quotation by mistake once & you should have seen the inflated prices quoted & they got the job - leaders obviously taking a percentage & ripping the landlord off at the same time - periodic inspections smiley smiley coming round taking photos of all my issues & doing nothing about them & then 6 months on I get another one & when I tell them the way it is - lone behold I get a section 21 through the letterbox & a for rent board attached . these people should not be in business & should be shown for what they are. I cannot fathom out how they are rated so highly as I have read so many similar reviews as mine over the past few weeks.

The property was leaking, toilet could not flushed properly, the property was damp (mould on bedroom walls) reported but no action was taken .
poor communication, attitude on the phone(total dismissed my concerns)
no negotiations on my behalf when the landlord decided I need to replace a carpet that needs cleaning, £265 to clean a 1 bedroom (not including cleaning of carpet)
Deposit not returned at the time agreed contacted the named agent who was very unhelpful and dismissive.
I would never use this agency ever again !!!..the property management from begining to end was unbeatable!!

As a landlord I used leaders for over 8 years to rent out and managed my flat
generally they did an ok job of taking the commission and finding tenants
they were poor at invoicing, several times ive had to remind them,
they were poor at looking after my money, replacement and maintenance always came in at substantially higher than reasonable, my impression was they just thought landlords were mugs and would pay without question
they never proposed a rental increase without me pushing....
final straw for this average review is a request for 25pounds an annual statement for the property ,
generally keep an eye on them and push....dammed by faint praise

What agent could do to change your mind?
I never received any sort of service from Leaders whatsoever. If they wanted to change my mind about them, then they should have provided me with at least a proper service as a tenant. Disrepair issues went un-resolved, I was never able to speak to anyone, emails were completely ignored and the staff lied on numerous occassions. I am also still awaiting the return of my deposit, so technically they are witholding money from me too.

After 18 months of continuous disrepair at the property, not only did I arrange to resolve the issues directly with the landlord (I paid for all the renovation works and the landlord reimbursed me around £2k). My landlord also complained, and the outcome was that I was given a contact person "Julie Gollan" to contact. Every time I tried to speak with her on the telephone she was mysteriously not in the office so my issues were still not resolved. I made a formal complaint, which was ignored as the complaint manager went on holiday for 10 days. By the time I did get a response from the complaint manager, the issues had been resolved (by me!) so any response was useless. Thankfully I have now moved out, but some 18 days later I am yet to recieve my deposit back and have been told that I must speak to the landlord myself to arrange it. *Beware of this company*

What agent could do to change your mind?
Do something about the fees. Charging a tenant £30 if they don\'t show up at an appointment is fine as long as you afford them the same courtesy. increase the \'check out charge\' and don\'t charge a separate fee for the reference. Get back to people with a holding reply so people know that you aren\'t just ignoring them. Maybe just be a bit more considerate towards the tenants as well as the landlords.

I have had a few issues since moving in but after emailing a couple of days ago I am still yet to receive a response from the property manager.... I guess she is busy doing references for people!
Perhaps I am just spoiled as my previous Landlord and Letting Agent were absolutely fantastic but I wouldn't be in a hurry to recommend Leaders.

Steve Love assisted myself and my partner in finding a rental property in Brighton. Steve was fantastic! He brought a down to earth attitude to our meeting and to the viewings asking us the right questions to help us understand what we wanted out of a property.This is the first time that my partner and I have looked for a property on our own so we were nevous about what to expect - Steve really put us at ease and made us laugh along the way. Leaders as a whole have been really great and the process has been so straight forward. The referencing process was very easy too and our referees did not ahve to take too much time in confirming the information etc. A great experience.

Having lived in a property rented by leaders for 3 years all i can say is at every hand it has been a very bad experience
Moving into the property was very quick and efficent almost a pleasent experience but once in the property thats when all the problems started we were promised that the windows would be changed as the property was very cold in the winter for which this was promised over 3 years and still was not rectified on leaving the property. we had even offered to replace the windows out of our money and deduct from the rent each month still no reply. Every time you called to speak to an agent they were very very rude most of the time getting into an argument with them. The staff at the bromley branch are totally and utterly useless one would think they work there for free. On moving out of the property the we were informed we had to clean carpets etc which we refused as they were never cleaned when we moved in we had all this in written confirmation luckily from when we moved into the property obviously trying to squeeze every penny out of us. Also the new tennants of the property were given my direct number from the estate agents to call and ask me how to reset the boiler to wich i replied with a dialing tone and lodged a complaint with the estate agents.
To top it all off driving pass the property a few weeks later to my amazement the windows had been replaced and rent put up can you believe it NEVER USE LEADERS IN BROMLEY
