From start to finish, pure disappointment and frustration.
- 4 days to get the house online. I asked for Thursday, the house was released Friday after 4pm
- Pictures were very amateur and didn't bring the best of my house. I am an amateur photographer and could have done a better job. During their valuation, I was told they would bring a photographer and showed me some glossy leaflet. The reality was different !
- I asked for some pictures to be replaced which they did - appointment was at 11am, got delayed by more than an hour.
- The description of the house was awful - language and spelling mistakes, with no commercial tone to it. My first language is not English and I could spot the errors. Total lack of diligence.
- No room dimensions included, not even in the floor plan. God knows how people can judge space with that.
- I sent the updated description and provided all the dimensions so the websites could be updated. That took another few days to get amended, dropping altogether the whole section on the room dimensions I had issued. Up to this point I still didn't see the handouts.
- After a month and no viewing arranged, the branch manager offered to provide professional pictures and an updated floor plans, this time with dimensions. His excuse for not having much interest was the market being slow. I very much doubted it was the case. I reminded him I hadn't received a copy of the house handouts...
- A week later, a viewing was organised which resulted in an offer. Declined as too low.
- A house with a similar layout but with only 1 off road parking space + car port ( I have two and carport) and no front garden came on the market and got sold within 10 days and after the first viewing. Two more in the same development also had offers on them.
So I very much doubt there was an issue with the market, but more with their lack of ability to go and look for potential buyers and I don't think they reach far enough as they don't have much media coverage to spread their reach further out.
I decided to take my house off the market before the end of the contract and still never saw sight of those handouts !
Don't waste your time with them. I have now to postpone my plans to move after Easter to perhaps the summer once I put my house back on the market ... And with another agent !

I am very disappointed with this Agents. They cancelled my viewing last week without any good reason and rearranged it to this week assuring me that I am the first viewer and not to worry about anything. They just rang me to cancel again because they had a viewing the property and the offer has been accepted. They denied any reassurances they gave me despite me having a witness their statements. They made me miss on purchasing a property I was really really interested in.

We have trying to buy a property from King and chasemore for over a month. Since the beginning the service and quality received from them has been awful. Despite being allocated a sales person for the after offer side of the sale, they have been uncontactable. This is not good, as for the first month they were sending all the paperwork to the wrong solicitors, on both sides of the sale. Amazingly it took phone calls from us for them to realise their mistake. This has set the sale back by 4 weeks to start.
When trying to complain and speak to someone about it I was told I would get an answer the same day and that was 3 weeks ago now with still no call.
They are a hopeless company and when the time comes to sell up and move I will not be using king and chasemore and I would never recommend them to anyone as reliable to use.
If anyone from King and chasemore actually reads this I want someone to contact me ASAP.

A complete cockup of the full management of my flat. They sent me an invoice of an electrical company to be paid direct by me as agreed which I did. They deducted it from my rent as well as the estimate (twice) which they paid to the company. I had to arrange direct with SJM to be reimbursed and the estimate should not have been paid. It has been repaid by SJM to K&C which cannot trace the refund and keeps me waiting for my money. And initially no response to my emails. I am still waiting for my money and the acknowledgement of my cancellation of full management following the utter incompetence of J&C. Never had any problems with Jacobs Steel before the take over.

We recently completed on a very difficult sale and purchase with King and Chasemore Horley branch. Megan has been absolutley amazing throughout the process which has taken in total a year. She went above and beyond on several occasions and more importantly was always on the other end of the phone for emotional support when things got really tough. Even when she relocated to the Worthing branch she still was involved and made me feel like I could contact her at any point for help and advice. I truly believe that without her the chain would have broken down and we would not be in our lovely new home. We will always be grateful.

I can't thank Sammy at King & Chasemore Worthing enough for everything she did for us. From the moment we put an offer in on our property to the day we completed she was an absolute star. Sammy was easy to contact, kept us updated non stop and was so lovely & approachable throughout our whole journey. Being a first time buyer there was a lot of things we didn't understand with buying a house but Sammy always explained anything we were unsure about and made our experience less stressful and more enjoyable. Because of our fantastic experience with this agent we would definitely use them in the future to sell our property and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for all of your hard work and help.

£115.00 to do nothing is a lot when landlord chases rent themselves
I wanted to put my house on the market in November 2014 and Maria told me I had to wait until 7th of January to serve them notice.. I then looked at my contract and I could have serve them notice at any time, as I had a six month break clause in August..Once we have notice on January 7th, they refused to pay my rent and said just take it out the deposit they owed.. Text messages from myself and the tenant lasted 4 hours on Thursday 15th I threatened legal action which I was told by my solicitor I could do so as they had been in arrears with their rent for 6 months, they were also refusing to let any viewings from Micheal jones into the house. After emails to Maria she said she was doing all she could but The tenant said in a text to me she hadn't even contacted him. After him being worried about legal action asked Maria if he could move out that weekend the 17th and I could have all the £1380 deposit, I didn't really have much choice as to agree, as he hadn't paid January rent he had no intention on paying February future rent and I was also losing viewings on my house... Maria promise the deposit would go in straight away being Tuesday 20th it took a further 12 days she said it was out of her hands but when I spoke to the accounts department they had told me they only receive instruction to release the money on Thursday 29th, When receiving then deposit it was £52 short, again I emailed Maria and she said it was taken out for rent, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??? That it could be for rent that tenants failed to pay. Maria also said if there were damaged on my house I had more than enough money to fix any problems and as a kind will gesture £50 wasn't taken out for office paperwork also that the tenants were kind enough to give me the deposit.. FIRSLY they owed me £805 for January rent Secondly they owed me £805 for February rent, No notice was ever given and I had to go to the house and clear out all the stuff left in the cupboards, So how Maria can say I had more than enough money does not cover it, this has been a shambles not dealt with properly and I want part refund back for fully managed which I never once had anyone from your office ever sort out problems at My property let alone rent arrears the tenant also had my number and always text me with problems. I don't know what kind of business your running, but my legal advice has told me to put this in writing as you have over charged me for a service I did not receive ,. I also want the £52 you have taken out of the deposit for rent. As they moved out on the 17th of march and no rent was ever collect. Think you also need to sort out your management in your accounts in Worthing lettings. This has given me nothing but stress having to borrow money to pay bills that's tenants we're suppose to pay. Maria knew I was pregnant and did nothing to ease this
