Heed these words of warning very,very carefully. It could well leave you with months and months if headache even once you have parted ways. Do not whatever you do use this company. Woods are a total disgrace in every sense, no customer service, no communication between their own departments let alone you as a customer. Their accounts department is in Newport, their 'head quarters ' is the hub in Bradley Stoke and neither seem to talk to each other or the local branches for that matter - there is no leadership or management what so ever. We left with written confirmation that we would get our deposit back, 4 months later and not only did we not get it back they took another months rent 'as an oversight'? We have only just got both back and now we've been hit with a council tax bill that they have re-directed at us for a period in a property that were not even in!

We also had to endure the entire month of January without central heating as they went back and forth with the landlord as to the crux of the issue - all this with a 18 month old and three year old. So far i've waited over a month for the return of my deposit; quite a bit longer than the agreed 10 days. Admittedly there was a bit of stuff I missed in the clear up, but that was rectified after getting notification.
They've charged me £110 to have the property cleaned after my departure, which to me is baffling as we left the house in a better state than when we moved in. One of the chargeable items was the extractor filter, which was old when we moved in.
There were several things that needed fixing when we moved in; some of these were rectified after 6 months. Agents were unhelpful to the point of rude, apart from Simon Price, who was like a beacon of light in an otherwise sludgy sea of ordure.

He was told that was impossible as their car insurance didn't cover that!

When I rang a few days later for information about the house, I was stopped mid sentence and told that being overseas they couldn't sign any agreement unless I personally viewed the house first (my father was not allowed!).
My father rang a couple if weeks later as the house was still unlet, offering to take the house in his name, pay 6 months upfront, and we would be there in 6 weeks. He was told that was impossible as the house could not be empty! It was been empty for 3 months!!
I have a 3 year local contract so they have just kissed out on 3 years stable rent.
Unbelievable, gobsmackingly ridiculous practices, no common sense and to be avoided like the plague.
