Leaders are all smiles whilst they are trying to get you signed up but once you are a tenant and have signed on the dotted line you will get no help. We rented an apartment and Leaders promised that desks would be provided, they even wrote this as a note on the contract, but on moving in day there were no desks. The landlord knew nothing about it and said it was Leaders' responsibility as they have promised this without his knowledge. No surprise that Leaders did not provide the desks so we had to purchase our own.

When it came to moving out the situation was worse. It took 6 weeks to get our deposit back, and this was only after relentless chasing on our part. Leaders seemed to put obstruction after obstruction in our path, there was an endless stream of new hoops to jump through and it was incredibly frustrating. The worst rental experience ever and we have used numerous different agents in Norwich.

Referencing was a complete joke but that's a whole different story.
Their employee Daniel is an absolute disgrace to the profession. From no communication to hanging up to palming off responsibility to straight lying to my face. If the keys aren't ready to collect then don't e-mail me and tell me to come and get them!! How hard is it to do your job? I don't know how I managed to keep my cool and not scream in his face.
Don't see us getting any refund from them so I won't bother asking (not that I could get through to anyone on the phone anyway). We set up billing and internet that has to all be cancelled now, don't see them giving us a hand with the cancellation fees. I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE ANY OF THIS HAD THEY NOT TOLD US TO COME AND GET THE KEYS!!!
It was my partner's first time renting and I wanted it to be the smooth transaction that it had always been for me in the past. But nope these guys had to swoop in and create the largest mess of drama and anxiety I have ever had to deal with. You know you picked a terrible letting agent up when you are losing sleep and your boyfriend is having panic attacks because you set up to move your whole life to another town and it suddenly ripped away from you.
SPREAD THE WORD, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! FIND LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!!!

Delays to move in date announced with little to no notice. Doors that don’t function. Masonry left in the shower cubicle. A blocked toilet. A blocked sink. And a toilet brush smeared in human waste. And not a single mention of any of this on the inventory.
Constantly fed mistruths along the way when they can be bothered to communicate with a tenant.

They preyed on my desperation. 1 star is too much. They couldn't sort out my reference checks in time, had to pay for an extra night in a hotel. All because the third party company they use couldn't muster up the ingenuity to make a phone call to ask my employer for a reference. They kept on deflecting the blame, saying it wasn't their fault. The flat itself didn't have any of the things I required, though because it was just a verbal agreement, they lied to me over the phone to appease my queries as they new there was nothing that could be done about it and were just trying to get the sale. Moved into a flat where I was told it would be perfect to work from home - can't get a phone signal from inside the building. Said it was ok if I didn't drive - pitch black areas and no pavements around apartment, it's actually dangerous and now I have no choice to walk in the dark every morning as the intenet isn't good enough to work from home. Couldn't get the internet sorted for a month. And when I asked about moving because the tenancy didn't suit my requirements (which I discussed with them, in fact I called up about a completely different property which became unavailable and they offered me this one), they started talking about charges, I can't afford to leave now, they have made my life very difficult through their inability to provide relevant information on the area, just to make a sale. Unfit to help people, it's a sad state of affairs when people like this are left to sort out something as important as a roof over peoples heads. As somebody who is just trying my hardest to make my way through life, It makes me less hopeful that there is actually anybody half decent in the world.

Despite the review from the previous tenant, we had a very positive experience with Leaders. Jack Carter was exceptionally helpful and our move was managed without any problems. We found Leaders to be friendly, helpful and professional at all times and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.
The cottage mentioned was redecorated throughout and was handed to us in immaculate condition, although clearly it had not been looked after previously judging by the state of the very overgrown gardens.
We highly recommend Leaders. Thank you.

They never repaired anything when we complained about something going wrong. We lived in a house that was covered in mold. A rat got trapped in our water tank and died once after years of complaining that rats were getting into the wall space and nothing being done about it. We showered in the dead rat water after I had recently had a serious abdominal surgery. I got sepsis and ended up having to have a second surgery due to this. When they came to remove the rat from the tank the water was let out all over the floor and leaked like a waterfall down into our music room, covering our piano and creating even more mold. The windows had holes in for the whole time we lived there and the house was never warm. Even though we complained over and over they still felt it suitable to take money off our deposit when we left. They also refused to accept that we were unable to allow access at the end of our tenancy due to having to self isolate, constantly nagging us to let them come and take photos so they could remarket. They also gave my contact details out to third parties without my permission breaking GDPR rules.

The do not care one iota about tenants. They just care about taking as much money from renters as they possibly can without looking after their properties. They are happy to let people live in poor conditions for outrageous costs. They ended up renting our old house out for £200 more than we were paying for it without doing any of the necessary improvements so some poor sod is now living in a mold infested house with holes in the windows, stains all over the carpets and rats in the wall space.
Stay away from these letting agents.

As a tenant, who is supposed to have their property ‘managed’ by leaders, I can only say it’s one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with. Inexperienced and incompetent. Always passing the buck to someone else so they don’t have to deal with anything. Disaster from the beginning. Couldn’t get the contract right ( both times) then maintenance issues are painful to deal with. And If you are a landlord, please know that they don’t check your property as they say they will. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
