Do not use Hamptons. Arrogant, useless and when we moved to another agent who sold our house really quickly, chased us for their fee, which we were advised to pay and now have to go through Ombudsman to get this back. I have never dealt with a company I hate more. DO NOT use... Read Full Review

Very disappointed with Hamptons @ Horsham office. I would not trust or recommend anyone to deal with you and find a property through you. Very disappointed with Hamptons @ Horsham office. I would not trust or recommend anyone to deal with you and find a property through you. I got gazumped by Hamptons few weeks after my offer was accepted by the seller and after I had started a mortgage application. The property was then taken off the market but then re-advertised a couple of weeks later. Hamptons tried to blame the seller as being unreasonable and the seller tried to go behind Hamptons back by implying we should cut the Hamptons and deal directly with them. You both deserve each other and I am happy to see no one has put an offer on the property yet, as it is still on the market 2 months later.

Well what can I say other than these people are thieves. Out of my �1,800 which I had given this robbing company all I got back was �600!

Well what can I say other than these people are thieves. Out of my �1,800 which I had given this robbing company all I got back was �600! The landlord was an absolute joke, never kept his side of the agreement to which was the only reason why I went ahead and rented. This estate agent really doesn care less about their clients....it's all about the money. And I would advice having decent landlords/landladys because otherwise they will just add to your already bad name and reputation. I will never rent again!!!

What agent could do to change your mind?

Given completly wrong information about how much income we needed to be able to rent this house. 2 weeks from christmas and 6 months pregnant with a 2 year old, i paid them £500 to do referencing and take the house off the market. After we failed referencing, which they knew would happen, they then refused to give us any sort of refund. We got called liars. We needed a guarantor as we didn't earn enough between us, we were told our guarantor would only have to earn enough to make up the difference, as we were only a few thousand off this was easy for our guarantor. After paying all the fees we were then informed we had failed referencing as our guarantor had to earn enough to cover all the rent, in fact she had 2 earn 30 times the rent each year, which worked out at £48000, we were told none of this until after we had paid and now they refuse a refund. To make matters worse we got spoken to like absolute rubbish by horsham manager, avoid at all cost, complete con, wish i had read reviews before!
