Very disappointed with Hamptons @ Horsham office. I would not trust or recommend anyone to deal with you and find a property through you. I got gazumped by Hamptons few weeks after my offer was accepted by the seller and after I had started a mortgage application. The property was then taken off the market but then re-advertised a couple of weeks later. Hamptons tried to blame the seller as being unreasonable and the seller tried to go behind Hamptons back by implying we should cut the Hamptons and deal directly with them. You both deserve each other and I am happy to see no one has put an offer on the property yet, as it is still on the market 2 months later.

Nov 17, 2020Dear Mrs Nula, I am sorry to hear that you feel this way about Hamptons International. Our job is to work on behalf of our clients. The other party had already viewed the house prior to your offer being accepted. In line with the Estate Agents Act, when an offer is made, then this must be put to the client. Unfortunately the client chose the other party (after you were given an opportunity to compete). This is an unfortunate situation, not something that we ever instigate, merely something that we must try and deal with. If you wish to discuss further then you are, of course, welcome to call me.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
