Gascoigne-Halman came promptly to view the property; recommended preparations for sale, and price; as a property in an estate, waited patiently for grant of probate.
Reviewed the price with us before marketing; prepared comprehensive brochure and offered it for review; led prospective buyers round the property (sometimes in our presence), pointed out features and answered their questions fully and professionally.

My sister and I employed the services of Gascoigne Halman to sell our late mother's home. Right from the outset we were treated in a kind and caring manner by each member of staff we came into contact with including Tim, Lesley & Kathy. The entire process was handled with efficiency and patience as we ourselves came to terms with selling the property. Gascoigne Halman handled everything on our behalf including all viewings which was a great help as neither of us lived close by. They helped us too by liaising with the buyers and allowing us the luxury of emptying the property slowly and in our own time for which we were very grateful. We purchased a cottage in Alderley Edge through Gascoigne Halman (Tim Jackson) in 2000 and sold through them in 2008. Tim had also acted for us on the sale of our previous property in 2000. Although we very much wanted the cottage, the vendor would not negotiate and we decided to pull out. Tim, however, encouraged us to obtain the necessary additional funding as he was confident that it would be an excellent investment. We did as he recommended and have not looked back! When it came to selling the cottage in 2008, although the financial climate was not good, Tim found an excellent purchaser within two weeks who paid the asking price, enabling us to move to a different (and equally expensive) area of the country. It is now 2012 and, having improved a house in our new area and sold it well after two years, we are about to complete the major renovation on a country house in a wonderful location, something which would not have been possible had we remained cautious in 2000 and not taken Tim Jackson's advice.

The agent generally was very helpful in arranging viewings for us, and also latterly in arranging acces for our surveyors and tradesmen as the selling process neared completion. The manager, Tim Jackson, deserves full marks for the way the agency works so well. For example, he went to a lot of trouble to provide us with background information about the property which really did help to ensure a successful transaction for both the vendor and ourselves. You can't ask for more than that.

Gascoigne Halman are re-kindling the philosophy that lies keep people on the line, they did nothing but lies to me through my house sale. They never returned phone calls and generally when about their job in a very unproffessional manner.
