Don't waste your time. That seems to be their job. Broken promises, disinterested staff. Never felt so under-valued by a business. How they mange to keep running is a mystery to me. After a month of silence we walked away and went across the road to Connels. Best decision ever. We now have our... Read Full Review

Don't waste your time. That seems to be their job. Broken promises, disinterested staff. Never felt so under-valued by a business. How they mange to keep running is a mystery to me. When we viewed our property we were promised that it would be professionally cleaned but when we picked up our keys it was filthy, the agent was useless, didn't even know who should have done the job. When we viewed our property we were promised that it would be professionally cleaned but when we picked up our keys it was filthy, the agent was useless, didn't even know who should have done the job. They wouldn't do anything about it and we had to move in and clean it ourselves. Ever since then we never got any response from the agency or any compensation as we asked for. They never return our calls and frankly are just downright rude when you do get hold of them. Now they are trying to charge our deposit for cleaning and more fees – its outrageous. It feels like they just take our money and look after the landlord regardless of the situation. I will never use them again.

I feel that we have been 'played by this branch in Witney. Told that our offer similiar to another and they wanted to confirm with our EA that we had sold our property and the vendors would then make a decision. They said they'd phone-no call. We called them. Would you believe it, they've had another offer for the full asking price!! We upped our offer they said the'd call when they had spoken to the vendor. NO CALL AGAIN!!! We called them. They said vendors would make a decision after he had spoken to his partner and they would ring us today 18 th June. They also asked us for the name of our solicitor. Well we're still waiting for the call! I called them at 6.00 and got through to the admin office explained and said they should have called even if it was to say that a decision hadn't been made. Grrr! Admin said she'd send them message marked urgent and to contact ASAP. Well guess what we're still waiting! Buying and selling is stressful enough without EA's playing these games. So glad we didn't use them to sell our house. Although we did get hassled quite a bit to go with them. Very unhappy!

What agent could do to change your mind?
We are trapped using this agent at the moment as to get out of the contract the house would have to not be marketd for a couple of weeks and we can not afford that. This was a rather high-end house for the area. I would have expected a bit more attention to detail in regards to securing the sale, as well as ensuring all calls were returned. And it would have been dandy to have been told about the collapse of the sale WHEN IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

I cant tell you how disgruntled I am with this agent, not that Breckon and Breckon were much better. My fiancé is a client and he and his ex are attempting to sell their former marital home. After her reluctance to put the house on the market in the first place, a court order later, and 10 months on the market with Breckon & Breckon - no offers came in. He switched to Chancellors. Richard was very knowledgeable of the area and was positive of a quick(ish) sale. 5 months later and a 20K price drop a cheeky offer did come in. It was accepted after 1 week of negotiating and my fiancé was ready to exchange 5 weeks later. When he called the solicitor dealing with it (recommended by Chancellors), he was told the buyer had pulled out on Monday. It was now Weds, and he had heard nothing from the estate agent! Meanwhile, we had already moved forward with our house purchase and had invested close to 2k in surveys and valuations. My fiancé's ex had also started packing the house to move in a few weeks time. The buyer used the excuse that things were not moving fast enough, however- there were no conditional deadlines to work to. Even now Chancellors are slow to return calls, if at all, and all communication on progress of remarketing is initiated and chased by us. Very disappointing to say the least.
