i was told on 4 occasions it was going to exchange , all lies not even a chance of it
strung along and after 4 month told from my solicitor that nothing had been done for 4 months it has cost me in the region of 20k in costs because of the delay i have 3 other flats for sale and they certainly will not even get to look at them an absolute disgrace

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - I would give negative stars if I could. The end to end service was incredibly terrible & full of faults.
- Marketed my property without my consent - the property details even contained errors
- The agents made NO EFFORT whatsoever to sell the property during viewings, simply stood in the corner. I was viewing properties for a new place at the same time, and you can see what proper marketing is like
- Called weekly to simply read useless figures off a screen - this is their update
- When I found a buyer & half way through the conveyancing process, nearly lost out on the sale because Chancellors didn't relay a message across to me for weeks!!!
- Sales progression team is absolutely useless, maybe heard from them 5 times during 6 months. Each time with out of date information. They may as well not have been there. But guess when I got an instant response from them - when I emailed telling them I was completing on the sale & I had a query. Never seen someone send me an invoice so quickly requesting for the commission, & the answer to the query itself came 24 hours later!! It was a simple question of whether I could leave the keys to the property with the branch.
Can't believe the state of this service cost me a couple of grand. STAY AWAY FROM CHANCELLORS IF YOU WANT A SMOOTH SALE

I was with them for 12 weeks and only had 2 viewings but literally from the second week I was pressurised to drop the price. I stressed again that I was in negative equity and it wasnt an option but every week I was asked to reduce the price which was so frustrating. They also misplaced my key, which I understand it can happen, but its how you deal with the situation at the time. The would not change my locks even though I asked several times and even explained I was a single woman living alone and that I didn't feel safe in my home. They didnt care. They had an idea who may have the key but from the day I contacted them to return my key it took 9 days. I informed them that key or no key I wanted my locks changed or I will report to ombudsman. I was promised they would raise this management, even though my initial requests were refused by management as I was told. Guess what? No call or email.

Dont trust them. They will lie to you and pressure you to reducing the price. I understand not all estate agents may be able to sell your property but if you have a good experience with them you an still recommend them to others. If I had the option to give zero stars then I would.

I have never left a review for anything or anyone before but cannot begin to explain the experience we've had with Chancellors. I have never left a review for anything or anyone before but cannot begin to explain the experience we've had with Chancellors. I have to at least hope to help someone else avoid using them and the stress we have had.
They are impossible to get hold of despite numerous chasers, took weeks before a window advert with multiple excuses as to why (and none of them true), members of staff go AWOL and don't turn up to work resulting in no update for up to a week after a viewing. This is just to name a few. They are honestly appalling.
Don't believe the nonsense they give you when they come to your property - you will not be any different. KEEP CLEAR.
