If you dont want to be GAZUMPED, make sure you make use of their own mortgage adviser and solicitor as they prefer that, making it a one stop shop. Their adviser was the rudest person I have come across making me pick my own one.
Very unprofessional. What a waste of time.

My review of Austin Wyatt/Countrywide is not favourable! I have enclosed my latest email detailing my experience of presently purchasing a property marketed by Austin Wyatt.
To Austin Wyatt main office:... I’m in the process of purchasing one of your properties In the Southampton area, marketed by your Shirley branch. Since the government lifted Covid restrictions on the 13th May, enabling estate agents to work Austin Wyatt/Countrywide has continued to furlough it’s staff??? For your information every estate agent on Shirley high street has opened its doors, albeit with social distancing measures in place. Austin Wyatt/Countrywide have not, preferring to continue furloughing the majority of their staff. I assume this decision is being taken as it’s economically convenient to continue taking advantage of the government’s furlough measures. My estate agent and solicitors have resumed work as have my buyers. To the point I have now agreed to move out of my property (10th June) to preserve my sale. Your local representatives, were made aware of my situation several weeks ago. Feedback and progress has been frustrating to say the least, to the point I had no feedback whatsoever last week prior to me moving out of my property. Today is the 8th June, two days prior to me moving out of my property. In effect I am now propping up the chain in which you are selling your property. I can assure you if I do not receive any correspondence your chain will collapse as I will be pulling out!!
