This is the worst Agency that I have dealt with so far.
Unprofessional. Never got back to me with answers to my questions. The property i was purchsing had an issue and they lied as to what the issue was, this came to light after my solicitor found information as to the actual problem which could have cost me a lot of money to sort. They also sent me to 2 of their own solicitors for which I had to make an up front payment, both then said they could not represent me even though they had my full information but banked the deposit. Austen and Wyatt then said they would make sure the deposit was plaid to a solicitor I paid myself but no payment was made and the deposit was never forwarded. BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS COMPANY AT YOUR RISK!

Studio flats can be hard to sell unless you get a cash buyer. However, Austin and Wyatt never gave up with my property and continued to find prospective buyers and arranged viewings at convenient times. Scott, Sarah and Simon were always available, responded to emails and phone calls from me and were remarkably patient, polite and professional. In the end we had a flurry of interest and I was delighted to get my asking price and also that the first time buyer had secured a mortgage through Austin and Wyatt. A delay in completion due to slow management agents, threatened the sale, but Sarah came to the rescue! Her intervention in chasing up solicitors and myself, saved the day and I can't thank her enough for keeping on top of this with the buyer. I would use Austin and Wyatt again and definitely recommend them.

Selling our house was proving difficult and it had been on the market for 4 months with Purplebricks. It was on the market off the market and so on. Then Sarah knocked the door. She asked if she could help sell our house and gave us a run down of how Austin & Wyatt work. She said she had some people looking for a house in the area. We agreed to sign up as we really needed help. Within 3 days our house was sold! Just like that! Happy buyers happy sellers and happy Sarah. I would definitely recommend. They were professional and trustworthy, which is exactly what we needed after giving someone else our money for nothing! It's true what they say..... you get what you pay for!!!

My experience of Austin & Wyatt started reasonably well (with an email out of the blue and follow-up phone call from Alan insisting that now was the right time to sell my property). Once my property went on the market, I received several viewings (some viewers were interested, others were clearly disinterested and were looking for a different sort of property) and a couple of low offers. After several weeks on the market, the viewings and offers dried up and the property remained unsold.

So disappointed with the service provided by this company. We explained that white goods were essential for the rental property we were looking for. On viewing a property we were told that the white goods were included. Again before making an offer I asked that they double checked that the white goods were included, and we were once again told they were. On moving in to the property, having already paid large amounts in fees, rent and deposit, there were no white goods present. On calling Austin Wyatt I was told that they could not recall saying there were white goods and that as they had never put this down on paper they do not consider themselves at fault. Not only am I out of pocket by several hundred pounds to buy these items, but I was left in a house with a disabled child for almost a week without the ability to store fresh food or wash clothes. I would urge anyone who intends to use this company in the future to reconsider. If you do I would suggest that you only believe information they provide if it is on paper, so they may be held accountable for any mistakes.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agents fees are £300 which is reasonable, but trying to get that back is not reasonable especially when you have every single right to claim it back. It’s like trying to get back a single sweet from a miserable baby that is surrounded by millions of sweets.

Due to the fact myself and my girlfriend are first time renters let alone buyers we have minimal savings and had a deadline to pay the deposit for the house we liked in a weeks' time. We chose to sell our property through this agent because we were impressed by the professional approach of Alan Woodhouse. They were excellent at keeping us informed and always returned calls promptly. We were happy with the number of viewings and the feedback we received.
Any delays in the sale were mainly due to the solicitors, Countrywide, who are associated with Austin & Wyatt and would not recommend anyone to use them.

Some were better at communicating progress (or lack of it) than others, some had better marketing ideas than others. All were polite but not effective at achieving a sale. I think we were advised to put too high a price on the property initially, which didn't help. I was just lucky I was trying to sell a house I wasn't living in - it was stressful nevertheless.

A very disorganised branch with a very high staff turnover. Not helped by the accounts dept being located in India, tenancies being dealt with by a department in the Midlands and an IT system which is constantly crashing. Trying to get queries resolved is very difficult with constant chasing, long delays and staff taking no responsibility. Since Austin & Wyatt (Countrywide) bought the old agent, they have lost over half their properties through bad management and reputation has suffered.

I would really like more space to write my review as they are not nice people to deal with and go back on their promises and frankly are out to make as much money as possible.Their caring approach even goes as far as telling you to rent somewhere or live on a friends settee as they want the sale to go through and not having much help in finding you a property as they said.Infact they tell very little truth my cash buyer turned out a mortgage purchaser,i think that has to do with commission on their part.As i have multiple sclerosis they new i had to purchase the right property.They have bullied and harassed me throughout and i would seriously advice to leave well alone
