Just moved into our new flat in Balham - despite our signed tenant agreement stating that we would be provided with a full professional clean, the state of our new flat was despicable. Thick black hairs everywhere, used toothbrushes still in the bathroom, random items in all of the draws as well as underneath the beds and in the cupboards, the shower door broken off it’s hinges and huge markings on the walls where previous tenants had hung picture frames. It was apparent that no professional inspection had been conducted post the tenants moving out which is completely unacceptable. Moving in is a stressful experience without having to factor in organising for a flat to be fully cleaned. Really unimpressed with Jackson’s.

Although Jonathan Mallet as good at getting us to see the property and the initial agreement, he was an absolute nightmare afterward. Belittling us because we were first time buyers. And when we then asked for advice on changing the price of the property due to some extensive damage to the outside stairs (which the surveyor said was a risk to injury) he again would just either not take our calls or be incredibly rude to us on the phone, almost sounding bored of trying to help. He was genuinely awful, made my partner cry multiple times, would always hang up mid conversation and be rude. If you call Jackson’s Balham and Jonathan Mallet answers, then hang up and try again. I would not wish this experience on anyone.

I'm a tenant living in a Jacksons managed property and I have recently had an encounter with a property manager by the name of Ana Tonial who has been extremely unhelpful in my requests for help as I explained in detail every problem I had in this property and yet she was unable to complete the basic requirements of a property manager and has a lack of English speaking capabilities which should not only be standard for someone in this line of work but mandatory only further adding to my distress in my situation.

Jacksons estate agents (sales) in Balham do not put properties under offer; even though the property is not available.
I rang Jacksons today to enquire about two properties. They said that both were under offer and unavailable. When I asked the chap why those properties were not listed as under offer on rightmove or Zoopla - he said that they leave them up to generate leads.
I think this is completely dishonest and not trust worthy. I would not like to be purchasing or selling a property through this estate agent in Balham.

We have been resident in Tooting for about 6 months and James recently took over as our property manager. He has been amazing, helping us out with a few broken things in the flat that needed sorting, which he managed to get sorted really quickly. We were impressed with his speed and professionalism, as well as his care in making sure we were happy that our isses had been solved. Would highly recommend Jacksons, and especially James, who has given us the best experience in property management that we have ever had!

From start to finish, our experience with Jacksons has been awful. We have been tenants in a Jacksons managed property for two years and I will be avoiding them at all costs in the future.
Repairs are not done and it takes multiple follow up calls before another contractor is booked to do the work- if at all. There have been a number of issues which we reported when we moved in 2 years ago which still have not been fixed. Lights were installed in the property whilst we were tenants and the contractor hacked at the wall and ceiling during the work- the result was a mess. This was reported to Jacksons but nothing was done, I would be extremely unhappy if I was the landlord of this property.
Staff are unprofessional and seem to be incapable of doing their jobs. We were not sent check-out information until a week before our move out date, when they told us we need to arrange for all cleaning to be done and paid for, on top of a £140 checkout fee. Never before have I had to arrange the cleaning of a property myself with no suggestion of which agency to use.
They do not communicate with tenants at all- asking if we want extend the lease before confirming what the rent would be and whether the landlord would be willing to extend.
It is difficult in London, but if at all possible- avoid Jacksons.
