Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.

We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.
We are very disappointed that Gascoigne Pees failed to disclose the buyers circumstances and allowed us to accept an offer under misrepresentation. Failing to check funding as part of the basics of accepting an offer. We had packed 90% of our belongings and hired a removal company and paid £2,000 and unbeknown to us the buyer had a related transfer of equity all along and that it could take the buyer 6 months to get their name removed from the deeds. This left us in a very vulnerable position. We lost our onwards purchase and the house we loved so much.
We tried to cancel our contract and were told by Tom that we had to give 28 days notice. We asked as a gesture of goodwill if they could release us from the contract without the notice and this was declined as we were told we would be breaching the contract. My husband tried to reason with them and Tom accused him of bribery.
Absolutely unbelievable and would never use again.
Stay away from using this company. Absolutely diabolical. We would've given 0 stars but this wasn't an option.

Sally was wonderful in working with my elderly mother-in-law to sell her property in which she had lived for over 40 years. From the beginning Sally helped her to understand the process, took care of the viewings and ensured we received feedback. We received regular updates and Sally was always available to answer our questions and provide help and guidance. This sale was particularly hard for the family having many great and some not so great memories made in this home, however Sally made it so much easier for us and as she said, it's time to make more great memories somewhere else. She also secured the sale of the property to a lovely new family who will improve and modernise the house and we are sure love it as much as we have.

We had a very positive experience recently while buying our new house via Gascoigne Pees. As is so often the case things were not completely smooth and a number of "glitches" came up elsewhere in the chain. Kerri-Anne, Sally and Mick were great. Mick won us over when considering other estate agents.
As there were some issues it was good to have someone local. We were contacted weekly with updates.
Once we recieved our first offer, viewings slowed down, possibly due to brexit, however the buyers who made the first offer did follow through and brought the property.
Mick was able to follow up with the solicitors and get things moving again after a slow period. We are really greatful for his help.
