LANDLORDS BEWARE!!! In my opinion, after my experience, Whitegates are the worst agent I have used in the entirety of being a landlord. They dispute correspondence took place when it did, which will be proven as it was electronic. They state they are unable to inspect a property with any great attention in response to missing a 6ft x 6ft fireplace had been put back into use, yet are able to pick up on 1 carpet burns????? They actually told me in correspondence that because they were not letting it anymore, they were not wasting any more time on it. Nothing like being thorough eh! They have attempted to state that they had not been informed about the use of the fire until a much later date by me, even though I have correspondence that it was reported straight away. I believe they are evasive, run by crooks as so many unregulated areas of business are and have attempted to obscure the facts and the truth, which in my opinion is likely that someone gave the tenant permission to use it which is breaking the law as they are responsible for obtaining safety certificates. They have been reported to the property ombudsman. I have now reported them to a dept. within the HSE, to which the executive will be investigating and auditing. I will be taking them to court for negligence as despite returning the deposit which only covers all of the other damages, I cannot see how anyone could overlook a fireplace which takes up almost an entire wall and is in the room used to enter and exit the property. In my opinion, they have been the worst of any agent I have used so far. They seem to really dance the line between the little regulation that there is, charge plenty and then put out when the landlord complains. Already started arranging solicitors letters and a court date will follow. I suggest any landlord to go elsewhere, do not bother unless you want to run the risk of having your property destroyed. And I DO NOT SAY THAT LIGHTLY GIVEN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A MAJOR FIRE AND SAFETY RISK!!!!

Not recommended at all.

Mr Chan Khangura and his property developer father are of interest to New Zealand police.They are buying up decent letting agents,then treating their tenants like dirt.Working fiddle after fiddle and causing upset as they go.Like two deranged psychopaths.They couldn't give a fig!!!
Their staff are lying bullies with relatively poor levels of education, who have large chips on their shoulders,when they discover that a tenant on their uppers is better educated than they are, and object to being treated like scum, by estate agent cliches,that belong in the 1980's.
Appalling spivs, and the proprietor has gained pecuniary advantage by deception.Local tories love him.Personslly I have a wax effigy to stick pins in.I have Hever hated a lettings agent as much as these people.Two potentially vulnerable people out in the cold in the middle of winter, to sate someone's greed.There is a special place in Hell for scum like these!!!

Rude, obnoxious crooks. Avoid at all costs Tracy has to be the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with she contacted a family mamber and shared details of our tenancy without my permission I am in the middle of reporting her abs the company for breaching GDPR. Whitegates have continually found us great tenants with the minimum of aggravation. The last let was left immaculate after one of their professional clean services; we didn't need to do anything and within a couple of days the next tenant has moved in.

I have used Whitegates letting since 2005, but since my dealings with Chan & Emma over the past few months the level of service that I have received is fantastic. They have kept me up to date by phone with the progress of the new tenants moving in all the way along the process and have been open, approachable and efficient. I have dealt with may letting agents over the past decade both personally and professionally and these two have both been superb. Please keep it up! I would recommend.

Right from the first enquiry we were dealt with professionally and quickly - we had 2 viewings of the property. We received lots of advice from the staff there - not just Emma but some other staff also - and everyone was courteous and efficient.
Paperwork was dealt with quickly - basically it was very easy to rent through this branch - and the service we have received afterwards has also been fantastic - I have dealt with agents before when renting - but this has been the easiest and most pleasant letting I have done so far.
