I think that attitude speaks a lot and unfortunately for Whittaker and Biggs the attitude from the Congleton store was disappointing. I have never come accross a sales person who was quite so rude, I was looking to buy a house and asked for contact back from the lady I had originally spoken to on numerous occasions, this responses did not happen for days. When she finally responded she was short, rude and unpleasant and made me feel like a complete inconvenience. Maybe I am misunderstanding the role of an estate agent but I thought it was to sell homes- not this lady, she made it so difficult I ended up looking elsewhere and buying a different property with a much more friendly estate agent who actually made it achievable for me to view the propety I was interested in. As a buyer I would say to all sellers at least mystery shop the estate agent you plan to use

Treat all of your potential buyers with respect

Victoria McDarmaid at the Congleton office was absolutely fantastic when I was buying my first home. She always kept me updated and was really proactive at liaising between myself, the vendor and our solicitors. Would most definitely go back to her when I am looking to buy / sell in the future.... Very poor service and customer experience. The photos taken were extremely bad, I even had to send my own in which weren't good at all, but were far better than the ones they had taken. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
