I called about a arranging a viewing for a property that was on sale, the estate agent said the seller only wants viewings from people that have already sold their property, then called back to say they could squeeze us in on the back of another viewing the next day but that was all they could offer. I felt like I was treated like a second rate citizen, firstly if you are only offering viewings to people that have already sold their house then you should put this in the advert to stop wasting people's time, secondly there is a presumption made that I was not a cash buyer, thirdly the way the estate agent talked to me was not friendly or professional, and how inspiring is it to say we will squeeze you in on the back of another viewing, like I am some kind of inferior person, they would not offer any alternative other than one viewing which was the next day, which was not viable. My partner and I were really looking forward to viewing this property and were going to travel some distance to see it, the response was extremely disappointing and I have never had an interaction like this with an estate agent before. It looked like the property was on sale for some time and dropped in price, and if this is the approach to prospective buyers it is no wonder the property has not sold and has dropped in price.
