I requested information on placing my property on the market from both the Knutsford and Holmes Chapel branches.
Holmes Chapel failed to respond despite a number of reminders and Knutsford stated we were 'way too far' from any of their offices to warrant proceeding. Our property lies 12 miles from Knutsford and 7.3 miles from Holmes Chapel.
If you require a professional and helpful agent, I would avoid Gascoigne Halman at all costs.

As a first time buyer this has been a shocking experience with this company, and it's not even over yet as I type this.
We bought our first house through Gascoigne Halman Knutsford, and from the moment we went to view the property to this very point, customer service has been none existent and there has generally just been a lack of care throughout the whole process.
Communication to us has been terrible throughout, different staff members have lied to us about processes. We have had to constantly ring up and ask about pretty much everything, and it feels like we have just been fobbed off most of the time, like it's a huge inconvenience.
Even this evening as I type the vendor for the house we now own still has the keys to it and for some reason refuses to drop them off with us. We have literally called the Knutsford office up to 3 times a day recently asking them to contact the vendor and get our house keys but their isn't any urgency at all. Most of the time we call and no one picks up or when we do get through and ask for the staff member looking after our purchase, they always seem to be busy or unavailable. We have even ended up calling the Sale and Wilmslow offices to try and get some sort of help with this, and guess what they said... Why don't you just get the locks changed? Yeah sure guys, we would love to pay for that on top of everything else we have to buy for a new house...
Now I know it's not the companies fault that the vendor is being difficult with the keys, but the lack of helpfulness is a joke...
I could go on about the other problems we have faced with Gascoigne but I don't want to waste anymore of my time with it.
I have no idea how the reviews are so positive on here for this company... for us it's been a shocking start onto the housing ladder and I would never recommend them to anyone. Hopefully when we call up tomorrow(4 days after we have bought the house) we can finally get the keys to the house.

We recently sold our house through Gascoigne Halman in Knutsford, the service was quick and efficient, advice good and the property was sold in 4 days.
Fay gave great support to our sellers too, who were disappointed by the poor communication skills of their own agent, in fact our buyers bought her some chocolates as a thank you. Fay's actions made the sale go smoothly and kept us all informed, even when there were the inevitable hiccups along the way.
We would definitely recommend Gascoigne Halman in Knutsford to prospective sellers.

The Gascoigne Halman Knutsford office provided an excellent service, and I found all of the staff I dealt with to be professional, proactive & friendly. GH managed all viewings, and always provided me with feedback on these. Throught the process, Fay always kept me informed and answered all emails extremely quickly. Selling a house is stressful and Fay certainly helped reduce this considerably.

From the minute we got in contact with this agent they have been extremely professional and dealt with our enquiry immediately. The property we wanted to view only came on Rightmove at 11.00am on the day in question, we asked to view immediately and got to see the property at 3.00pm the same day. We made an offer straight away and the agent informed us at 4.00pm that it was accepted and that there would be no further viewings at our request. They wrote to us confirming our offer. All through the sale they have kept us informed. They have helped keep both solicitors informed and were also able to get the sellers to confirm details of the sale. Would use this agent and recommend them to others without hesitation.
