Our agent contact was Jim Pendreich. We found him to be extremely helpful, and we relied on him very much for help and advice, as we did not live in Scotland. He explained things to us well, as we were not familiar with Scottish laws. He even sent us a detailed video of our property room by room, as we had not visited it after the tenant had vacated.
Our solicitor, John MacIntyre was also very helpful, talking us through things well, even when little 'hitches' appeared in the process, as were the secretaries we had reason deal with. We found everyone very accessible , returning any calls promptly .
We would recommend McDougall McQueen very highly.

I genuinely can't speak highly enough of McDougall McQueen. We worked with Claire and Richard to sell our old property and purchase our new one, and they were everything you could want: helpful, supportive, efficient, and always there to clarify or explain things we didn't understand.
In addition, on a difficult completion day, the whole office moved heaven and earth to get our sale and purchase over the line, going over and above what was expected.
They really are the company that treat you like your house sale/purchase is as important to them as it is to you. We never just felt like "paperwork." And most importantly, they got the job done!
I've heard stories about solicitors being difficult or confusing for the layman. McDougall McQueen are the opposite and I'd encourage anyone to use them.

Having access to experienced people makes all the difference and the service was first hand.
I would recommend using the Dalkeith Branch at all times.
