I've been living in a property rented from King's for almost a year now and have to say that so far (touch wood!) they've been the best lettings agent I've ever dealt with. The move back in March was easy - one slight error with the paperwork but they apologised and helped put it right - and since then they've been very attentive. Even non-essential repairs have been dealt with promptly and they've always sent people out when needed. The staff actually treat you like a human being, which is most refreshing. I previously rented from another well-known Reading agent, one who shares its name with a certain underwater city, and had a hideous experience that nearly drove me insane with stress. I'd go through Kings again based on my experience thus far.

I have been a customer of Kings for 25 years and over that time the company has grown hugely but the values of personal service and attention remain unchanged.
The thing I most value about Kings is their tenant selection. They know the importance of finding the right tenant and always put great emphasis on this –they don't just get you any tenant to get a quick let.
The regulatory backdrop for residential letting is continually changing and Kings are always happy to advise on the new regulations and go to some effort to make sure you are aware of the new laws and comply with them.
I would recommend Kings to anybody looking for a residential letting agent

I am currently looking to invest in some properties, and needed information on rental returns in the Reading area. Having visited two other agents, and left suitably confused with the information that was given, and the off hand attitude as I did not have any current property to rent. It was like a breath of fresh air when I met the friendly and helpful staff at Kings in Caversham. The manager, Roz, was most helpful, her experience, expertise, and knowledge about how I could proceed, the best areas in which to invest, and the returns I could expect. Decision made, in my mind, thanks to Roz, Kings will be the company who I will entrust with my investments.

They all know the rental business inside out and are always very professional in carrying out their many duties.

What agent could do to change your mind?
For a tenant finder fee, it seems very high; and more particularly when the tenancy is renewed. This latter cost in no way reflects the minimal amount of work involved.

As a landlady of many properties in the Reading area, I am in regular contact with agents. Some of which are quite bad, irresponsible to both the landlord and the tenants. I used Kings myself as a tenant in my previous life, when times were hard. They were sympathetic to my situation and helped me secure a 6 month tenancy. Since then, life has been good and I am now the proud owner of many flats myself. So, clearly I returned to them when one needed a tenant in the Emmer Green area. They were very professional to me as a Landlady. My tenant was very happy with their service as well. I am just about to instruct them to find another tenant in the town centre flat, and will continue to use them as much as possible. Highly recommended!!!

Once the tenant were found, they were able to provide a flexible service tailored to our needs. I cannot recommend Kings Caversham branch highly enough, they are certainly the best letting agency of the area.

We have recently bought a second flat and this too is let through Kings - a tenant was found very quickly and pays the top end of what we were hoping to achieve.

I rented with King's Lettings nearly 3 years ago, the property I rented was a house share and by far the nicest house share I'd ever been in! The landlord was a man called Pinder who was professional, polite and very nice person. The communal areas had a cleaner who visited bi-weekly, if there was a problem it was always fixed, I once even walked into the property to find someone fixing the washing machine, I hadn't even realised it had a fault! Upon leaving the property I had problems with the next property I was moving into, Pinder kindly let me stay an extra 2 nights free of charge. Once I had moved out my deposit was returned to me quickly. I'd definitely recommend them!
