I lived in a rented property for four years in Sale Manchester administered through Jordan Fishwick Sale branch. The deposit was administered by their Hale branch. Once I moved out this estate agent colluded with the landlady and made a good effort to steal my deposit.
My initial complain did not result anything; rather their senior complaint handler was so cunning to reply as if I have donated my deposit to the landlord (see email below). They are rouge agents to make your life hell in Manchester. The landlord with help from Jordan Fishwick submitted fictitious and bogus invoices to support their claim to steal my deposit.
Luckily people guided me to submit my case to 'Deposit Protection' which I did. The independent adjudication process awarded the case in my favour and I got my full deposit back from this rouge estate agent.
Prospective tenants please be careful about this Jordan Fishwick Estate Agent in Manchester as they will help landlords to steal your deposit with bogus claims once you have moved.
I wish I could have put these thieves to jail.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Agent did nothing at any stage to manage the property. Very expensive rent which goes up arbitrarily every year. Agent charges for anything and everything. Agent kept deposit for petty or downright fictitious reasons.

Basically a lazy and disinterested estate agent who are only interested in getting the maximum fees for the minimum of effort. Would strongly recommend you avoid if possible.

It is good that they inspect the properties on a regular basis to make sure all is OK but I think the inspection is a bit perfunctory (see comment about exterior maintenance below). As the properties have been in their hands for 4 years now, Annie has developed a good understanding of the requirements and books annual maintenance actions without a reminder.

The Glossop office has been excellent at finding new tenants for the properties, one of which is high value and therefore difficult to let.
Main Problem areas:
Lack of proper inspection when tenants have left, resulting in large cost for replacement of damaged items that should have been picked up and taken from deposit.
Failure to take care of gas and electricity bills while property is vacant (I had to remind).
Lack of "teeth" to ensure tenants keep surrounding areas clean and tidy (paved areas need regular cleaning which has not been done in the past) or to make sure they pick up the cost of doing so.

I have a couple of rental properties with Jordan Fishwick (JF) and I have always been very pleased with the level of service and support they have provided. I initially stated renting out one property with the Chorlton branch but then added another via the team in Sale and both offices have been extremely professional and handled any day to day issues. I currently live out of the area due to work commitments so it was imperative that I used an agent I could trust that would look after the tenants and properties in the same way I would and I'm pleased to say JF have delivered superbly on that promise. I am currently looking at purchasing more properties in the area and wouldn't hesitate to use the team for purchase, rental and sale.

A good start to viewings and when they dropped off after a time, communication from the agent was good and reassuring.
Only annoyances were the poor spelling in most correspondence, the inability to remember to call my wife (rather than me) in relation to viewings and that they neglected/forgot to inform us of the buyers' conditions of purchase at the time of making and accepting the offer (fortunately little impact). Nevertheless an otherwise very good experience.

We have almost reached the end of our 12 month tenancy in the property however we have been so impressed by the property and letting company that we have decided to stay on for another 18 months. We have always dealt with Annie from Jordan Fishwick and she has been brilliant from day one. Any queries we had were dealt with very efficiently. The property is very well looked after by the company they arrange regular checks and all electrical safety checks are kept up to date. We have been very impressed by Jordan Fishwick from the very beginning all viewings, telephone calls an emails were dealt with professionally and efficiently making the move as easy as possible for us. The level of service has been excellent compared to previous landlords and companies. We look forward to the future in our rented property thanks to Jordan Fishwick and Annie.

The JF team responded quickly and efficiently to put our house on the market and very soon sent round 2 couples to view the house. One of these expressed a genuine interest and eventually bought the property. My property was placed with Jorndan Fishwick in March 2012 and although I received 3 offers I eventually took it off the market after 4 months due to changed circumstances. All the viewings were accompanied and feedback was given with 2/3 days. I have previously sold through Jordan Fishwick when 2 other agents had failed to do so, and in 2012 my monthers house sold 3 days after going on the market. I would definitely use them again.
