Irene you applied to the FTT to appoint a Manager, complaining that the freeholder had not fulfilled the repairing and maintaining obligations, and that the property had fallen into disrepair.

The developments owned by Floorweald Limited (aka Vladimir Bermant / Tony Fischer) and managed by ABC Estates have been found to routinely overcharge leaseholders and give them a poor service in the bargain. There has been a lot in the public domain about them recently. Do a google search for Floorweald Limited or ABC Estates and you will find it. The fees continue to rise with a seeming decline in maintenance of the block. Since taking over the management of this block, the agent's fees have risen and continue to rise despite a tribunal deciding they were unreasonable.

We carried out a S20 Consultation and obtained quotes in the region of ‚£50,000. Sadly only 1 of the 5 lessees has paid their share of circa ‚£10,000 and the rest are with solicitors for debt recovery. When the remaining ‚£40,000 is paid the works will proceed.
