I used Lorraine to sell my property. She was also acting as the agent for the property I wanted to purchase. Lorraine has made this a really fluid transaction. She has been really supportive and has always responded promptly to any queries asked. Lorraine has always explained every part of the sale process and I found that she is full of enthusiasm even when things are getting stressful!

Always kept up to date with.
Slight hold up as we were in a chain, however all the staff got involved to make sure it happened.

We have received a terrible service from Abbott's and I would never recommend them.... ever! They lied, marketed our property for 9 weeks without an EPC, I had to chase them for feedback, I repeatedly asked them to change our terrible and inadequate listing with no suscess. Key features were left out such as the fact we have no onward chain, outbuildings and a double garage. They told me to email the kind of thing I expected to see in a listing, then they copied it and pasted it on rightmove complete with spelling mistakes. We never got the colour brochures we paid upfront for, nor the video tour. When we did get an offer, it took them 4 days to respond to our buyers and 6 weeks to put up a sold sign. Despite the fact that they managed to erect 2 for sale signs. Our house was never reviewd even thou they promise to every 4 weeks and they were rude on the phone. We made a formal complaint which takes 3 weeks to get a response and even that was apologies and no explanations. When I queried her findings, I was told it was final and I could have no further comments and I could appeal her decision. I was basically told, that I was tied into a contract and there was nothing I could do about it even though they had broken terms in their own contract and not provided things that we had paid for. Basically they can do what they want and as a seller tied into a contract, there is nothing we can do about it, even when we have had error after error. It's terrible and the whole thing is flawed.

Be warned these guys play dirty, I bought a house through another agent but also Abbotts Attleborough also had this property advertised. Although we had offered and then STC staff at the branch kept calling the the vendor asking if people can come round to view. They did not take the house off... Read Full Review

Be warned these guys play dirty, I bought a house through another agent but also Abbotts Attleborough also had this property advertised. Although we had offered and then STC staff at the branch kept calling the the vendor asking if people can come round to view. They did not take the house off various websites and kept the pressure on to see if they could still get people through the doo even thou we had bought it and were now financially committed-no Morals and steer clear of using them .

I then asked my mortgage advisor to call them who was promently told the same - dont attend, don't get the offer put forward!

As my wife loved the property, I attended the meeting and was all but held down whilst this guy tried to sell me a mortgage (felt like time share situation). After saying over 5 times I was not interested he finally and very quickly looked at our proof of earning and bank statements and that was that! (at this time i knew no matter what we were never getting this house)
The next day abbotts called and told me that due to their being a lot of interest in the property they would need to call all the people who had previously viewed the house prior to the vendor accepting my full asking price offer. The next day I was called to say that the property had achieved an offer higher then mine (and the asking price). I immediately increased my offer and was told they would call me back. A few hours later they called and said I would need to make a "full and final offer" which I did (at over 40k over the asking price). I was called back and told I had been unsuccessful! Not that I smell a rat or anything here but I proceeded to ask for a copy of the offer notification and to my horror today I have received this with the wrong final offer figure quoted and the words "funds being verified" - well as the funds had been verified at their "verification or can i sell you a mortgage" meeting this is simply not true. Perhaps you need to do your mortgage through them to insure you get the house?????????????
