Disgusting service. We were charged extortionate amounts for “end of tenancy cleaning” when our report stated that we had cleaned the house to a “reasonable standard. Images attached showed just how well they cleaned. The agents took weeks to reply, that's if they even bothered to. They were rude over the phone. Our deposits took over two months to be given back to us, and even then we were not given anywhere near the full amount back. We didn't willingly change to this agent, but it was actually our landlords choice. Students please save your time and don't be mistreated by this company.

If you care about your property, then give this company a wide berth, especially if you only have one or a small number of properties. If you care about your property, then give this company a wide berth, especially if you only have one or a small number of properties.
Some of the Staff are usually polite, but, not at all attentive and it can take ages to get issues resolved.
They will give you the big sell about how good they are because they are backed by Your Move blah blah. All this means is that they are too big to care, you are too little to be worried about.
Letting Agents are mostly pretty poor for what you pay them, Hobbins Roberts are the worst I have come across in over 20 years of renting our properties.
Thank goodness we are moving back into our home, and we'll never have to go through this stress again.

Dreadful experience beware!
I only used YourMove Hobin Roberts Agents on the Wellingborough Road, Northampton to find me a tenant in the Summer of 2020. They found me a tenant very quickly but at the time this was not difficult due to high demand.
Main problems -
1. Before new Tenant agreed, took property off Right Move without consulting me!
2. Before instruction we agreed changes to their Rental Agreement in writing. But in the end totally ignored! They signed Tenancy Agreement on my behalf which I had specifically banned them from doing!
3. The Inventory was carried out by a third party who missed items off the document and failed to correctly rectify when this was pointed out! Still don’t have a properly corrected inventory and had to agree the changes with my tenant directly. Could not speak to Inventory company directly and had to keep going through Agents which prolonged the agony.
After numerous emails to Bridge Street Director, he agreed reluctantly to refund the inventory fee!
4. No compensation offered for the fact they had ignored the agreed revised terms and had -
a) signed agreement on my behalf and in doing so had
b) included wrong address in the agreement (this was later changed when I pointed out the error)
5. Had completed Schedule 2 form to inform the Government I had a mortgage on the house - untrue! When I asked the Director why this had been done he wrote to tell me they stated I had a mortgage when I did not in case I got one in the future! Unbelievable!
6. When the problems began to appear I was passed from the Wellingborough Road office to the rental department in Bridge Street with gay abandon. Got the distinct impression was only interested in getting a tenant quick to get their money in and certainly not interested in customer relations at all!
Totally unprofessional would not touch again with a barge pole!

He actually moved his son in before my tenancy was up while my stuff was still there and made moving out virtually impossible. I wanted a re-inburstment considering i payed for 12 months this i was cleary never going to get. The most disgraceful service i have ever recieved.

BEWARE choosing Your Move Hobin Roberts estate agents in Northampton. I hope this review will alert future customers.
It is shocking to my solicitor and I that this behaviour came from director level staff as it shows poor judgement, weak leadership and bad ethics.
I was called at home even though my solicitor was dealing with my sale and threatened not once, but twice, by Ian Hobin with debt collectors. His threats had no bearing on the legalities or my solicitors advice to me. His threat was made to cover a fee discrepancy caused by a mistake at his company in their contract with me.
I checked before writing this and Ian Hobin as his surname suggests is one of the directors at Your Move Hobin Roberts. Happily as heavily pregnant, with a toddler running about and unpacking my whole household at the time both his calls went unanswered so I have never had to speak to this unpleasant sounding man.
I signed the Your Move Hobin Roberts contract which quoted their fee but when my solicitor received their invoice it was for substantially more. My solicitor looked into it and company told us it was their mistake. I told my solicitor and Sam Throw the agent who called me at home to say it was his mistake that I was not able to easily afford to pay for their mistake. I asked my solicitor to check the legal position. In the meantime Your Move Hobin Roberts informed my solicitor that the correct fee had been quoted on the Memo of Sale document. This was easily checked and was not the case as no fee is mentioned on the memo of sale.
Other than this there were other details - Selling my property I had picked a low, very fair price to gain a quick sale but made it clear to their agent, Sam Throw that I could not accept lower than this asking price as else I could not make my home move add up. When I received an offer I was under pressure from the Your Move Hobin Roberts office to accept it by reducing my price. I had to stand firm without their support.
The Your Move Hobin Roberts sales fee was not the lowest I received.
I had to double check my contract with Your Move Hobin Roberts with Sam Throw before signing it as of all the estate agent companies I dealt with in 2017 this company are the only ones to fill in the multiple agent fees on the client contract that you sign for single agent representation.
Your Move Hobin Roberts were also the only agent I dealt with who verbally quotes fees without the VAT.
Also I was told by Sam Throw that I was holding up the exchange date which I was told I had given them. Neither of these things were true and the buyer was in fact making more enquiries to my solicitor at the time.
From these points I felt the companies behaviour did not reflect that I was their client and not the buyers.
(Natasha Palczuk in the resolutions department was very good to deal with. I don't know how she survives in this terrible professional context but I'd like to give her credit.)
I hope this helps other people. I would NEVER use this company again or recommend it.

I have used the landlord lettings services of Your Move (Northampton) for some years now, and this was the first time I used their residential sales service. It helped to know some of the team already, as I knew the service and communication would be of a high standard and the team would be well suited to sell one of my properties. I was happy with the way the team dealt with the various stages of the sale and kept me informed, namely Ben Taylor and Sam Throw. I would definitely recommend Your Move to friends and family, for sales or lettings as I can say I am a happy customer on both services!
