Having had Novahomes manage my rental properties for over 5 years now I have not been let down in any shape or form. Considering my properties are in the Plymouth area of Devon; and I live in Dorset; so I need a company who deals with all aspects of rental properties where this is where Novahomes come into their own.

Never rent of these as you'll never get your deposit back. Lived in one of theirs for 7.5 years and then given section 21 with 2 kids whom are now in temporary accommodation. No consideration for circumstances and never get anything fixes when asked. End of tenancy check and most of the issues they failed to fix and now refuse to return our deposit... outrageous. No heart all money money money.

With their open, positive “yes, can-do” attitude, the crew at Spargo House in Plymouth took all the stress out of a potentially daunting task: selling a property from a distance.
They are professional, easy to talk to, and above all extremely helpful (e.g. with the odd meter reading and closing a window on a rainy, stormy night).

The worst estate agents we’ve ever dealt with. We are a young couple who have recently moved back to Plymouth after me ending my studies in Southampton. We have been looking at several properties a week for months now, I noticed one had been on the market for a particularly long time so booked a viewing with Megan from Novahomes. Absolutely loved the property and cannot fault Megan, it was the first one that has really stood out to us. So we paid a £155 holding deposit on the day as well as giving notice on our current flat. We completed the referencing process and successfully passed! Absolutely ecstatic that we’d finally found somewhere, arranged a day to pick up the keys and finalise everything. Anyway I get an email from Novahomes THE DAY BEFORE we’re supposed to pick up the keys, apparently the Landlord has only just read our (already completed and “successful” references) and has not only changed his mind, he will only take us if you pay £75 more per calendar month along with 3 months rent in advance!!!! The flat was already a little over budget (especially considering its history of a mould problem, and vile carpets which we were willing to work with) me and my partner both work 7 day weeks so didn’t mind spending a little more to get exactly what we wanted. Novahomes not only let us down leaving us 2 weeks to find a new property or we’d be homeless! They have also refused to give our holding deposit back (which is illegal as we didn’t not want the flat, it was the landlord’s decision) I am now having to take legal action against the company as they have point blank refused to give us our money back because they took the property off the market for 10 days (please bare in mind it had been on the market already for about 2 months, so they weren’t earning money on it anyway) I would 100% NOT recommend this company. Clearly very money hungry and I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else, especially not when people are loosing their jobs and were about to go into a recession! We have since found another property with the company Julian Marks who have been amazing, so friendly and helpful as well as HONEST and clearly not money hungry thugs!

Faced with selling a relative's empty property whilst living 140 miles away was always going to be a challenge but Novahomes were fantastic - they went above and beyond anything that I would have expected from an Estate Agent : supervising access for house clearance (repeatedly), reading meters, retrieving paperwork that was required etc.
I really cannot praise them highly enough - every member of staff has a 'can-do' attitude that took a lot of the stress out of the process.
Thank you particularly to Stuart, Matt, Holly, Megan, Amelia - I was always impressed that, whenever I rang and whoever I spoke to was always 'informed' about the property and didn't have to pass me on or make me wait until a key person was back in the office.

I cannot recommend Nova homes highly enough. I’ve used them twice in 12 months to sell buy to let’s after my tenants purchased their own properties. On both occasions they have been excellent; obtaining buyers within a week, achieving more than the asking price. In fact, I had a choice of offers to accept with full details of the chain, if any chain and the loan to mortgage value so that I could make an informed decision. Lee, Stuart, Andy have been great to deal with and I have to say that Megan and Holly have gone above and beyond their role to keep me informed of the sales progression and keeping me sane when the buyers solicitor wasn’t returning anyone calls, including to his own client - the buyer, for 3 weeks!?!? Our first sale was a first time buyer who needed Nova’s help to understand his survey results and our latest buyer was a cash buyer whose solicitor dragged his heels. On both occasions they have been fabulous and what makes it even better… they were the most competitive on fees and achieved asking prices both times for more than other agents expected. It was a win, win for me. If you are having any doubts about why they can be so competitive it’s because they have the process down to a ‘T’. Their communication within the team, with my solicitor and myself has been outstanding. I cannot tag Megan in the review but she has been an absolute super star.

This is the third time I have used Nova Homes to sell my property. Two of the three resulted in successful sales. The fees charged are competitive and the service is very good. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
