From the initial contact with Eleanor onto the day to day contact with Georgia and the showings which we did together, it could not have gone better. In all very professional It did take a bit of negotiation to secure the sale, but that's to be expected I am now trusting it reaches completion without any hitches but I am confident with Georgia to achieve this John

To the landlord of Carlisle Close, drop this estate agent. You had a professional couple, with no children (and no plans for children) who could both afford the property individually, both work full time, and have never missed a rent payment in their life - wanting to view your house to rent from the end of December 2024. Swetenhams point blank REFUSED to even let us visit this property for a viewing because 'the landlord wants someone in at the start of December' (the agent wanted their commission in time for Christmas maybe?). This was in the middle of November. It is standard for renters to contractually have to give 4 weeks notice on a rented property (you'd think this 'estate agent' would know that?) and we had to give that notice that on our current property. Because we weren't able to move in within 2 weeks, we weren't even considered or allowed to see the house. So this letting agent has cost you 12 months guaranteed rent, all for the sake of a POSSIBLE extra two weeks of rent - and low and behold, it's days from the start of December and the property is still sat online, available, reduced in price, and unfilled. Swetenhams is a useless estate agent. Landlords: DO NOT list your property with this place if you actually want it to be rented, and not just have it sit online while your agent turns potential renters away.

I can't speak to sales, but the lettings branch of this estate agent is appalling. when I had an inspection of the property I'm living in the woman performing the inspection literally had a tantrum and stormed out because I didn't wish to comply with her directive. immediately after I received a section 21 order to vacate, and was stonewalled by the entire team when I attempted to resolve the issue amicably. the lettings team is never in the office if you wish to contact them with an inquiry, and they are incredibly slow to respond to Tennent issues. avoid the swetenhams lettings team at all costs if possible, that's my advice.

Awful. No hot water for 6 weeks,no extraction in bathroom. Can't use hallway lights. Their property management just make excuses and now say they don't when it will be fixed. Fantastic service from Gary over the last few years, sorting out my buy to let mortgages on a property I rented out and now sorting my mortgage to purchase our house. Many many ignored emails, staff members changing all the time so no one knows what your situation is and you can't get gold of the same people.
Would not use again.
