SH*TE!!! terrible people at a terrible office. When moving in the place was dirty but when shown around the agent kept commenting that the last tenants left it so clean, being nice I smiled and kept my thoughts to myself. When we moved in one of our front door keys didn't work, I rang up the office straight away to get a replacement key. I was informed that I would have to pay £30 to get a key!!! They would not budge on this even though a working key should have been supplied at move in. When I repeatedly asked them fir a replacement key they kept saying they were working on it. For 6 months my fiancé had to use the garage door key at the back of the flats to get in while I had the front door key. This letting agent are a total shambles and I wish I never ever rented with them. There were lightbulbs missing when we moved in, when I rang to get these replaced again they said they were working on it, total lie. For 6 months we tried to get lightbulbs. We did not, I asked them would I be charged for these light bulbs when I moved out as they weren't there when I moved in, they said of course not, However after 6 months, the length of our contract, Thayer are now charging us for them even though they wrent there when we moved in!!! Why? Thay are a terrible letting agency and they don't know how to work phones, they only contact us via email, probably hoping we won't read it and won't bother them sitting on their cosy office chairs while they rip ordinary decent people our of their hard earned money. DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENCY! And now this letting agency are taking nearly £200 off our deposit as they say the place is dirty after I spent a whole day before we moved out on my hands and knees cleaning that dump better than when we moved in and now they say it's dirty! I mean seriously £200 to clean, what kind of gold plated cleaners ate they getting in?! Terrible abuse of power, tenants have no power! They have made my last 6 months hell.
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have given us working keys, lightbulbs and realised that the place was cleaner when we left than when we moved in! Terrible letting agent, they should be fired and closed down.

This Belvoir branch in Portsmouth & Southsea were managing several of our flats but now they are managing NONE.
They are INCOMPETENT and the WORST residential managing agents we have ever used in our 96 years of operating.
Belvoir NEVER inspected our flats in several years.
Belvoir withheld information.
Belvoir breached the management agreement.
Belvoir don’t care about the landlord or tenant, they just want their fee.
We caught Belvoir NEGLECTING their management responsibilities and lying to both tenant and landlord.
Belvoir are NOT RESPONSIVE to emails and phone calls and their front office is run by untrained inexperienced staff with limited knowledge in managing property such as Emma, Yvonne and Helen. The directors are not hands on in the business and they will not contact you when there is a problem.
The strange thing is we used Belvoir to sell one of our flats earlier this year and we found Joseph and Spencer great to deal with, however their management department are complete shambles.
Conclusion: Don't use them for lettings or management, only for selling based on our experience.

I was looking for a property with my 6 month old daughter and rang belvoir southsea to see if they could help at all, I spoke to david who was amazing and I got to view a 2 bedroom flat few days later, I moved in within a couple weeks after everything was sorted out and can not thank Dave enough for his time and patience whilst the process was happening, all the help has changed my life for the better and I can move on now, a lot of angencies did not even talk to me at all so thank you Dave and belvoir southsea for everything

I am a business owner in Waterlooville and needed accommodation for my employee. The only people who were immediately helpful were belvoir in Waterlooville. The agents should be trained ... If it was a review on how well they can sit down on there nice lil red chairs and do nothing allday apart from playing Facebook on there laptops then they would five star! But it\'s not and there useless

This agency is the worst in portsmouth with the highest rates... They have made my life hell since day one .. We had a lot problems with leaking ... Broken keys were handed over... They never answer phone or call back they just hide behind emails... There taking £50 out of my deposit to pay for weeds left on garden also taking £400 out of my deposit for cleaning even tho I had professionals come in to do carpets etc and they have receipt to prove it! Seriously stay away fr these evil non trained idiots

Having rented properties for fourteen years, this is the worst agency my husband and I have ever used.
We reported a minor issue with leakage in january, then monthly after this- nothing was done about this until JULY, when a huge leak came through the kitchen ceiling. Also the leak caused the growth of fungus- they came and took photos, but again, nothing was done! Ditto about the mould in my asthmatic son's bedroom, or the bathroom.
Their admin process almost cost us our new house, when they refused to give our new agency a tenant's reference (which they charged us for- honestly, what do these people think their job description is, and shouldn't such a thing be what they're paid to do?) as they refused to give it until we'd given notice on their property- leaving us in the precarious position of having to give notice, but not yet secured the new property. Which is a disgusting way to treat tenants who had paid £700 a month for three years without missing a single payment or causing any damage to the property.
Upon vacation of the property, we were charged for removal of a net curtain that was in the property when we moved in, the removal of a washing line that belonged to the house, and £5 per light bulb when they cost pennies in the shops.
They also insisted to deep-cleaning a threadbare carpet, despite it not being clean when we moved in. In fact the woman I spoke to seemed amazed when I told her we weren't going to leave the property in a better condition than it was in when we moved into it. Her comments were, "Tenants are always telling me that they don't think they have to leave a house spotless as it wasn't when they moved in!" My reply? "Stop renting out filthy houses then, if you want people to leave them clean when they leave."
We don't expect to receive any deposit back, and to be honest we don't care. We're just moving on and putting this agency behind us, but will be warning every family and friend member who ask us for agency recommendations to stay firmly away from Belvoir Lettings.
