I then got Sharon who finally did do what she said she would do. But thereafter, got no further assistance from her with any meaningful replies to questions about a property. And at a site viewing, she rudely refused us parking and could not answer questions about the site. Pretty shocking quality from customer service, sales, and estate agent perspectives and I would warn people to be very careful any properties this lot have (which is not many thankfully)

I would say that Katarina is a consummate professional, dedicated to her work, who always acts with her clients' best interests at heart. One can feel confident that Katarina will always show a home to a prospective buyer in the best-possible manner. She has been assiduous in vetting applicants so as to thoroughly understand their true position in relation to the purchase and to communicate this information clearly to the seller. Katarina used her considerable experience to urge parties along when the pace of the transaction slowed without good reason.

I viewed a property in Worcester Park, Surrey being sold and marketed by Fine & Country, Cheam. The property was initially listed as 'Offers over £775k'. There was an open viewing day booked for the 7th of May however I was told by Fine & Country that it be pushed back 2 weeks to the 27th of May, enough time to attract more buyers! When i finally set foot in the property to view, I saw Fine & Country's local mortgage advisor sitting by a table. I was asked to speak to her and was under the impression that this was mandatory in order to qualify my offer. I was asked to submit an offer (if interested) on the Monday following the viewing. I made an offer in excess of £35k higher than the minimal asking price. The offer was submitted through an electronic bid form. Despite filling in the form, providing evidence of my MAIP, solicitor's details, and proof that I am proceed-able, I was asked to provide my "best and final offer" by the close of play Wednesday via email. The Sales Negotiator responsible did not provide any details as to why I was expected to put a "best and final" offer or what price range was the vendor looking at, but did ask me to provide my 'best and final' offer using the electronic bid form as opposed to via email, which contradicts what she asked for earlier. As I was really keen about the house, I increased my offer further (in total this was way over the minimal asking price). I was also pushed by Fine & Country Cheam to pop by their office and speak to their mortgage advisor to qualify my offer. I therefore had to take time off work and speak to the advisor on the Tuesday, the same day I submitted the offer. The Advisor was ready to apply for another MAIP to match the existing one that I had, before I noticed what she was doing and had to stop her before going through another unnecessary credit check. I chased up Fine & Country the following 2 days regarding my offer, and did not hear from them. I finally got a call from them advising that someone offered £5k higher and if I wanted to increase the offer. I increased by a further £10k. The next day I was told by someone from Fine & Country that they suspected the vendor was speaking with another estate agent who valued the property higher. It turned out that Fine & Country, Cheam (the sole agents from my knowledge) increased the price to £950k over that weekend. As a result, I also missed out on another property that I viewed a week earlier as I focused my attention and efforts on this one. My property that I am selling is under offer and I had to keep the estate agents and buyers on hold until I knew the outcome of this property.
The experience that I had was very disappointing. I received no guidance from the Sale Negotiator regarding what offers would secure a nod from the vendor, I was kept in the dark and out of the loop as to what was going on, and more importantly have lost confidence in local estate agents operating in the Worcester Park and have reason to believe that they are contributing significantly to an artificial property price cartel in certain roads and areas.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Complaints Procedure
Fine and Country, Cheam Village is part of GFEA Ltd and is a member of The Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPOS) and we aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded we have the following complaints procedure in place.
The aim of this process is to resolve all customer issues or concerns as quickly as possible. In the majority of cases we hope that any issues can be resolved quickly and amicably to customers' satisfaction at branch level.
Stage One – Branch Manager
Complaints should, in the first instance, be directed to the Manager of the estate agency branch you have been dealing with. They will endeavour to liaise with you quickly and resolve your complaint immediately, no later than 5 working days from first notification.
Stage Two – Director
Should the local manager not be able to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you can refer the matter to the Sales or Lettings Director at head office. Once received your letter will be acknowledged within 3 working days and you will receive a response within 15 working days from receipt of your letter.
Stage Three – Managing Director
If, after you have dealt with the division director, you remain dissatisfied you may address your concerns, in writing, to the Managing Director. Once received your letter will be acknowledged within 3 working days and you will receive a response within 15 working days from receipt of your letter.

If you still remain dissatisfied with the outcome of your complaint after dealing with the Directors, and once you have received a Final Viewpoint letter from the Managing Director, you may approach the Property Ombudsman.
