So, we are in a difficult market right now and you would expect that agents might have to try that bit harder to connect vendors and buyers. Not at F&C it seems ... They are clearly too busy. Having viewed a property on their books we had offered below the asking price and were rejected... Fine, we understand. So a week later we called to try to increase our offer and were told that the negotiator was working from home and would get back... It took more calls from us, and most of the day for the call to come back to us. We placed our offer £440,000! Not an unsubstantial amount of money... Although it's still under the asking price, we are cash buyers and it's a falling market. This was Monday, it's now Thursday after close of business and we have had no confirmation of our offer nor any report back to say whether the vendors are considering our offer or if they have rejected it . Astoundingly poor service... I am glad they are not trying to not sell my property.
