Welcome to an independently-run, independently-minded estate and lettings agency.
Ascend was founded on the belief that estate agents could do a lot better. We\'d been working in the industry for a long time and were frustrated that most agencies were just so ordinary. Like their houses, these places were in ne
ed of a new lick of paint. Bit of rising damp in the basement too.
So we decided to build our own home. This new home wasn\'t made of sticks or straw. It was founded on a deep-rooted, decade-long knowledge of Manchester, from the very bricks and mortar of the city centre to its outer reaches.
By a team of savvy individuals who loved the city and loved helping people invest, move and live in it. A team of quick thinkers and good listeners who did that rare thing: treat customers like people instead of transactions. Because they knew great service wasn\'t just about experience and expertise.
We had one philosophy: to keep the promises we made. Then we opened the doors.

Helpful up to signing the contract, after which have absolutely no interest in solving any issues for myself and half almost decline to discuss issues with the landlord. I've been waiting for a parking permit for the past 12 weeks - chase up every couple weeks and everytime get an apology saying its still pending. I've been paying for it with my rent for the last 3 months - basically am paying for a service that I am not receiving - and apparently this has nothing to do with Ascend and is not their responsibility. On top apparently it would be a gesture of goodwill if the landlord were to offer any compensation but again it actually has nothing to do with them. WHY was the flat was advertised as ready for rent when there were so many outstanding issues on the move in (only one of which I have mentioned here clearly)?! Absolutely disgusted with the service and will NEVER use Ascend again.

Actively avoiding our calls and emails afterwards.
Upon move in date- only 2/4 keys were given. When entering the property on our move in day- the place was appalling, including no hot water, missing washing machine, unlfushable USED toilets, mud and foot prints everywhere, dog poo on the balcony, and a leak in the ceiling.
Nothing was done about this, we have been passed around between different people with no help.
They are actively not responding to us, Forcing us to move into a flat with no hot water and disgusting mess

10/10 Customer service from Will! I had previously enquired about another property which unfortunately had been let by the time I could view it. A second property that ticked all of my boxes became available, as soon as I enquired about the property Will worked extremely fast to reserve the property for me. Working out of hours to ensure the application went through within a few hours of the listing and fantastic communication to ensure I knew all that was going on as Will knew this property was also everything I was looking for.
