Oliver, the manager, is polite and good at his job. However, his staff leave a lot to be desired. Emmilia from the office is rude and can't wait to get you off the phone if you call her. She also tells different things to different tenants of the same house, so we never get any useful information from her. Her tone of voice is disgusting for someone who has a customer facing job. Extortionate fees are taken out of the deposit at the end of the agreement for menial things - but I am not sure if this is just a Humphries or a general letting agent trait. They do however say one thing to you on the phone and then change their mind later on. For example, as students we were told we could wait until our student loans to pay the first two months rent. However, we were later charged 2x£25 late fees and ordered to pay quickly. Granted, Oliver waved the late fees for some, but it was an act of deception that put a lot of financial strain on us all.

All deposits are protected in a government scheme and therefore are only returned once all parties have confirmed any deductions which may arise. Otherwise it's passed over to a 3rd party adjudicator. All fees are clearly laid out in your contract, and late rental fees do apply where needed. We hope to hear from you soon.
