I wish you could put no stars on this website!! Absolutely discusted in the way I have been spoken to by a member of staff at the Allestree branch. Nothing but push and push is into paying the application fee. Told they were refundable when we went to view the property (which was an absolute state might I add) to find out they are not. Nothing was clearly explained and now there is a lot more to pay that I originally thought. (My own faults for signing anything but still wasn't explained) I got told on the phone I was a liar with my circumstances and that the house is now back on the market with nothing I could do. I have now lost out completely a lot of money they take no responsabilty what's so ever. In order to not loose my money I now have to rent the property with them but after reading these reviews I am so upset and do not want to do this! Lost for words with how arsey Jess is. Do not give any money or sign anything with Hall and Benson. The company is discusting.

28 Apr 2017Hannah. I'm saddened to read your comments which do not match up with the information we hold. I understand that your partner and yourself applied for the property 4 days after viewing it and being given the comprehensive guidance notes explaining the process fully to you. I would hope this gave more than enough time to read and understand the process and requirements or clarify any points before you contacted us to proceed? Since applying the team have spoken to you to move your application forward and to gain the additional referencing information so that we could help you. Yesterday I understand contrary to all other conversations that you decided that you did not want to proceed? When the member of staff understood you were unhappy regarding the non returnable application fee I believe she suggested that you put your concerns through to me in writing so that I could investigate them, understand your views and draw any conclusions from there - you declined to do this and instead posted this one sided review. I am sorry that you felt the staff member did not respond as you would have hoped, however it is always difficult to provide an answer that doesn't meet someone's hopes/demands. I understand that the call was ultimately terminated due to your continued use of foul language? The person concerned usually benefits from positive feedback from customers and I know it will disaspoint her that you, in spite of her efforts, felt it appropriate to both swear during the call and then suggest within your review she was less than positive in her response. Please contact me directly so that I might be able to take a further view once you have furnished me with any background you feel is appropriate or missing from my understanding. 12 Apr 2019THIS company are a joke. The staff are rude they take 150 application fee straight off me and then didnt give me a reason as to why i cant get the house after I explained my situation. Funny that cos I've been offered another house straight away I will be taking this further anyway. But I advise anyone specially renting not to go with this company !!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
