We lived at a property for over two years. Ended up moving out because no maintenance was done. There was a fire at the property and it was never repainted. Property inspection reports are just a tick box for them - there is no planned maintenance. Stay well away from this company.

Rented with Hall and Benson Allestree for 3 years. Rented with Hall and Benson Allestree for 3 years. Mice was getting into the property and nothing was done about it and was even suggested I was making it up as they didn't see them running about in the day while they were there. Nothing was done about that which was bad enough if I lived on my own but I had a 2 year old child at the time. Was recorded on their system several times with me raising it but nothing ever done. When I left they messed me about again with not advising me things they needed to or just general making my life difficult. Then trying to take the bond off me for leaving the house and sofa dirty of which I had already told the agency the mice was getting on it. The house was dirty as they found a quality street wrapper I had missed in a corner and so the whole house needed a deep clean. So after leaving the property 15 months ago I thought that was now done with. I have several calls from tradesmen contacting me about wanting to get in contact with me to do work on that house. I let the first few off thinking was just a mistake but after 6 different contractors contact me to do work I ring and complain, write a complain in as I'm told they will only deal with if I do that. I get an email reply in December last year apologising for all this and they will take my contact details off the system so not to be contacted. Today I receive another phone call from a contractor for exactly the same thing. Phone again to complain but advised just a mistake, but 7 different contractors over 2 months and one after I had already been told they were taking details off the account, that's not a mistake. Worst ever company I have rented under in 18 years.

Not interested in working with the vendor to sell a property. The sales process is poor not to mention the communication or lack of it from the staff and the general customer service is left wanting. If you want to sell your property then don't waste your time with this estate agency as they tie you in for a fixed term and do absolutely nothing to get the property marketed effectively and sold. Hall & Benson Allestree branch are not professionals in sales or customer service.

I and my family member had covert intrusive surveillance, ( we are born in Derbyshire and are not criminals) the covert surveillance put on us unlawfully, has caused theft, harm, vandalism, data affected, defamation, phone bugging on our devices and games consoles and broadband, negative information was sent from Faye green who works for North East council to all the council's in Derbyshire and Scott saddler of rykneld housing sent threating letters of covert intrusive surveillance with Faye green, we got harassed and stalked by officers after very frightening, causing great stress, my family members have all been affected, we were not able to settle in our hall and Benson home and was not able to maintain the home, ( our deposit was deducted even though we explained this problem)there was no understanding or care( discrimination ruined our lifestyle covert surveillance

Taken money with no recipts, false promises, eviction two days before Christmas and lied to repeatedly then hounded to hand keys in early. This company is an absolute joke. We have been renting our house for over two years and we still have the same leek that we reported nearly two years ago. Now our boiler is giving us problems and it's taking them forever to sort it. All they do is send people out to "have a look" but it never gets fixed. I've lost count of the amount of times we've had to report issues that never get fixed. Also the staff at the allestree branch are very rude. My mother who is paying the rent even got told off for time wasting after reporting something. As if they are the ones who are experiencing inconvenience by sending people out all the time. Never use this company, they are time wasters and will not resolve any problems you report.
