DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS!! Caste Estates in Beeston process more than one application at a time and completely lie to you about it. We viewed a property as soon as it went up and put our application in and paid our money straight away. Having told there would be no issues getting the property, we were messed around for a week - during which time we had stopped looking for other places due to the non-refundable deposit we had given. After a week of empty answers and no communication from their end we were told that the landlord had decided to actually give the property to a family member and was taking it off the market.

Unfortunately for Castle Estates, when a couple we knew ended up in the exact house a week or so later their story fell flat! Turns out they had been processing several applications and taking everyone's deposits. We did eventually get a full refund but it seems odd that a holding deposit that is meant to guarantee no other applications are processed during that time, would be taken from more than one person, all in the same week!!

Castle Estates never admitted the truth about the situation and I would never go near them again. There is some really great estate agents in Beeston if you're looking like Robert Ellis, CP Walker and Bairstow Eve - don't waste your time with this one!!

Was so last minute that I had no idea if I would even have a place to live for that year. They were not helpful and I had a really bad experience living in a property run by them. Would not recommend

Excellent up until you sign. It's all down hill from there.
These are the agents that give landlords a bad name.
They have an amazing view of themselves as agents, but the reality is the work is just... trash. They contiuously failed to deliver of requested repair and maintentance, the property's quality upon arrival was abysmal. - This was followed by terrible support after we left.
Included, but not limited to - telling off for requesting basic house hygiene. Underhanded comments about us as tenants, after we left. Followed by an EPIC list of claims on the deposit, which we've reported to them upon arrival ?
I really don't have words to describe how bad every-single-one of these people is at their job. I don't think they do it deliberately either. Their talk seems genuine enough, but their delivery has failed us continuously

Dreadful company. They leave the keys to their other properties lying around in other tenants homes for months (despite being told they were left there), and seem to think the owner has a right to enter the property without seeking (and obtaining) permission. Calling an old cell phone number, and not receiving an answer was their excuse for not obtaining permission for non-emergency visits - even if they failed to update my phone number, they have my address, and have no problem contacting me when they want something (like showing people around because they have given the keys to MY HOME to someone? who apparently has not returned them). I am a single female, and was horrified to learn a maintenance person (hired by the landlady and not affiliated with the company) had entered my property while I was out (thankfully I was not in the shower and/or naked). This person had been snooping around too, but the agency said that it is beyond their control (despite admitting to giving him the keys to my home). They tell me they are were not responsible for the actions of any contractors (friends) hired by the owner, which is worrying since these people seem to possess keys to by home. What is the point of an agent if not to mediate all transactions between tenant and owner? You might as well go with a private landlord who is not familiar with tenants rights! And if you do deal with them, it is worth the extra expense to change the locks because they take no responsibility for illegal entry by the property owner. I have been a good tenant for 3 yrs - paid my rent on time, kept the place clean etc., - but it is a rundown property and I have had to repeatedly nag them to fix stuff (cooker, washing machine, roof). The house was in a shitty state -paint on the manky carpet, walls peeling, overgrown garden - but these were noted on the moving in inventory. Despite this they are trying to rip me off for my deposit for 'cleaning' and 'damages' (none of which were ever flagged up on any inspections). However, they do employ a lovely cat lady who sometimes does the inspections.

Prior to signing the original tenancy agreement Castle estates appeared to be knowledgeable and helpful.
Once you have signed on the dotted line it all changes. The aftersales is appalling.
I am yet to move out so can only dream of how they will find ways to rip me off before I get my bond... Read Full Review

My advice is stay away from this agent. They may seem nice and professional initially but as soon as you move out they don't want to know. I left the flat in a much better condition than i received it in and made sure everything was paid up. However, once i left Castle Estates tried to claim back £145 rent and £36 for a check out fee when it clearly stated £25 on my deposit. Every time i tried to contact them they were out of the office and my emails went unanswered. Thankfully i got my money back through the DPS adjudication service as i had kept all past emails and paperwork and were able to send of sufficient evidence. Castle Estates, to further point out they're poor business practices, lodged my deposit in twice with the DPS and when i refused to release the second one until the original deposit was returned to me they tried to bully and scare me into releasing it. It took me about seven months of countless emails and phone calls to get my money back and even then i only got it back because i had kept all my paperwork, so save yourself a lot of trouble and go with a reputable company.

We moved in around the end of winter 2011 and at first everything seemed fine and we was happy. It wasnt until little things needed doing like repairing the letterbox and the outside porch light that we noticed the company was full of lies. Then the heating went funny and we was told to bleed radiators and adjust the combi boiler etc our selves (knowing nothing about plumbing). None of the repairs ever got done, no phone calls were recieved back after phoning over 20 times and to top it all off they kept most of our deposit for things like light bulbs that needed replacing, a smoke alarm battery and limescale in the bottom of the toilet. We left the house in better condition that we recieved it and only recieved £185 back out of £675 deposit and it took a lot of phone calls and a over a month after vancating the property to get this. My advice to everyone is **AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE** don't make the same mistake we did, choose a better known company and make sure you take pictures of the property before you move your property in
